Unlike US, 70% Indian tickets cost between 0.7$ to 1.5-2$... Only multiplexes and Big theaters ticket cost 1.5 - 5$ depending upon timing,days etc...

there is a difference of 32 Huge years between 1980 and 2012 movies. in those 32 years film industries adopted such technologies which we are unable to imagine in 1980.

...I have seen couple of raja mouli's movies..didn't impress me much..I haven't watched bahubali for the same reason...
I feel present day India doesn't have any good director whose movie we can look forward to.

I was only impressed by Rajamouli's Eega/Macchi, this movie he has went all out to make it international level

Its time we all appreciate good movies in any Indian language....they are all Indian.

2. i find "lord of the rings" silly... the "dune" series is actually the one to read and watch.
3. ramayana and mahabharatha... i a socialist muslim, so...

Then this movie is out of your genre....I understand if you do not like it. One has to enjoy the larger than life epic stories to love this movie..

Ramayana and Mahabharata are not religious, you can read (if you wish!) them as stories, they are historical to Indian subcontinent.
