We make all the generic medicines,,,meaning copies of the actual medicines which are produced in the west after their royality time expires.

read about the recent imatinib drug case where supreme court shamelessly allowed us to make a generic copy without paying any royality to the original manufacturer.

There is not a new single drug produced by india(one or two will count as 0 only)........................so yeah we suck in medical field too big fucking time

steps required are

1)Stop funelling the money into national rural health mission/rch scheme as most of it gets siphoned off eventually
2)Increase the salaries of doctors and also the number of posts for specialists as mbbs doctors lack the skills to tackle problems

On the manufacturing side only government can make the changes at the top to have any influence,,,,but till we invest more in r&d i don't expect miracles

i am paying taxes so that money is utilized and not siphoned off u moron,,,i am not gonna go to a village and work for free.
that does not happen in real like,,,the govt has to make the field attractive by offering more incentives both in medicine and engineering.

if not,,,nothing will change.

go and check the figures of maternal mortality and infant mortality rate in india if u even understand what that means.
then go and see the number of tb deaths despite the fact that DOTS is provided free of cost to all patients

Why is that when we are providing free medicines,,,still people are not getting cured??
