What's new

Bahrain asks HAL to maintain its Hawk fleet

Hey a$$ hole u think u are smart? DOTS resistant TB bacteria is the new trend for which even the WHO is struggling , and the mind set of people who fail to accept that basic DOTS regularly is another reason for prevalence of TB. ( why dont u stop paying tax and try to convince at least one person to take DOTS regularly)
Providing Free Medicine is duty of GOI and not taking it is?

U have neither the basics nor the research level knowledge, it was my mistake to respond to u.

that post proves u have 0 idea about medicine
hell u should have used words like mdr tb and xdr tb instead of naive dots resistant tb which is no term??lol:rofl::rofl::rofl:

do u know how dots is distributed??
all right go and search urself to find the answer.

plus the resistance is due to the three day regimen instead of 7 day regimen followed in private practice.
In private practice no one even recommends the DOTS strategy which is a colossal failure anyway

u are messing with a professional here and i don't want u to continue on this path for ur own sake dude.
so please lets call it quits all right.

That is what u are good for scriptwriting others and not doing anything productive, DOTS failed not because of DOCs but because of fools like u. What ever field u are in I pity that one.
I have served My country well and will do so, with two research publication under belt and another to be published. Not a moron like u.

The IAF (not mention the fact the IN also operates it) is by far the largest HAWK AJT operator operating the most advanced variant (Mk.132) there is a full MRO facility in India and now that BAE's orders are coming to a close meaning India/HAL will have the last Hawk production facility in the world- so Bahrain's request is very logical.

Yes and also the cost effectiveness of such decision too.

Logical and good to create more work and revenue for HAL, therefore a welcomed move and we possibly could get similar maintenance or spare part deals for the Pilatus trainer too, IF HAL would abandon the HTT40 dream and take over the licence production instead.

Are you talking about DOTS or something else here? Cause last time I checked it was 6 months regime.

In private practice no one even recommends the DOTS strategy which is a colossal failure anyway
As a Doctor then, which strategy do you recommend for TB patients, since DOTS don't work.

.
A rather sensible decision by bahrain.

lol,,,it depends whether its 6 months or 7 or 8 or 9,,,,even 18 months for mdr tb.
DOTS is a failure though

How did you come to this conclusion? Has WHO published any article on this.

DOTS is the most cost effective way to tackle TB in a high incidence area like ours, if you have money you can go for the daily regime

From what I have read, effectiveness of DOTS mainly depends on patient compliance. WHO and all those 180 countries that follow it must have done their own research on it.
Here is one such from India.
Since the introduction of DOTS, the quality of diagnosis and treatment outcome in tuberculosis have improved considerably. Still, treatment compliance may be a problem due to the social stigma and/or deficient knowledge of the disease and its treatment.

PS: I think we are going off topic here, should we start a thread regarding this in social section or stop here.

The only benefit dots gives is thats its free,,,if u can pay u better have ur indivisual tailored regimen. There is also a possibility of inferior made free medicines distributed by the government, who knows but one thing is certain,,tb incidence is not coming down despite Dots being in force from 1997 onwards and that sucks

Of course people are to be blamed too,,they are not taking the medicines on time, most don't even complete the mandatory course,,some sell their medicines for money.

Bad situation really,,,due to all these factors extremely drug resistant tb,xdr-tb is becoming prevalent in india at a fast pace and once it sets in,,u are just fucked, there is no cure.

I thought Hawk 200 series is most advanced which is operated by Saudi Arabia,Indonesia, Malaysia and Oman.by the way,Bahrain operates Hawk 129,modified version of Hawk 127,which RAAF(Australia) use, while India use Hawk 132.
