BAF jets to escort aircraft carrying President Xi on his visit to Dhaka

Despite blocking Chinse export in India is getting bigger and bigger. They will repeat the same in BD too. Besides they will sell to India even for cheaper price from BD.
that doesn't make sense. how can goods shipped to BD, than to india and still sell cheaper than Chinese goods directly to india? the extra shipping charges as well as markup by every party involved would make it more expensive

I am not in favor of economic (as well as political) sanctions to be referred to liberally. Before coming to that point, every possible diplomatic means need to be examined. In an unfavorable national political context, maintaining the status quo until a more favorable situation arises in its natural cause (without intervention or crisis) would be preferable over a forced change if behavior to one's favor. Because, I believe, this latter option is not as sustainable as the former.

BD is no different.

Major countries, because of their sheer size and scale, cannot/should not make drastic/dramatic moves unless absolutely necessary. Small countries can sway wildly (like Turkey) without much impact, but big countries swaying so wildly will definitely affect international conditions to the worse.

US' inter-agency rivalry (basically Pentagon and CIA rivalry) in Syria has contributed to its less clear Syria policy, which has translated into the protracted crisis.

Russia's principled and solid interest-based approach is very much distinguished from that of the US, in this respect. And one can see the practical result of the actions of two nations.

China should be in control, but not be seen as aggressively moving without regard to the national conditions in BD. It is a fact that every one of our countries under various pressures inside and outside, and small countries are more vulnerable to them, hence, their actions might not always reflect their preferred choice of action.

yes, China need to tread a bit carefully and see the real picture.

He's pretty low IQ guy. He has dreams of BD being some entrepot lol.

India obviously will continue direct imports from China...and intermediates will be processed within India itself.

You have to remember that BD constantly complains to India that there are non-tariff barriers when the reality is they are just not competitively priced for export to India and India already has its own tariffs on BD goods. In fact recently this has become an issue in that imports from the NE India states from BD are reducing given the transit that BD now gives India so Indian goods become even more logistically cheaper in NE India compared to BD.

You dont ship to BD but manufacture in BD then export to India to maximize profit.

. . . . . . . .
ma..nufacturing used to a function of labor costs. it still is. It is increasing driven by robotics. It needs infrastructure.

Robotics??

In the world of 5 dollar toasters and 10 dollar rice cookers and pressure cookers? :-)

This is what I think of when I think about Chinese type goods Made in Bangladesh, every house needs some.

Bangladesh wages are roughly half that of India and probably a quarter that of China (maybe even less)......you can add up the rest.....

things are being automated ...

China can bring robot too.
china can make the robots too. the point is robots eliminates the need for cheap labor
