What's new

Back in Pakistan and loving it!

Most people ( indians and paks ) go abroad to make money and are 90 % likely to return if they have a girl child :P

It used to be the case once but the trend is changing now , with the more and more sense of liberalization and freedom they have now compromised on cultural or religious aspects for the sake of comfort, prestige and sense of superiority

I am also a Pakistani who was abroad for almost 5 years, had the option of living in Canada but chose to return home and absolutely loving it :D. I feel a part of me when i look at the people, food and the soil. My forefathers suffered discrimination and spilled blood just to have a separate homeland for me, it is my duty to make this land more pure and much better. I am doing my part to improve this country, i hope others are doing the same too.

God Bless Pakistan :)

I have a Canadian passport ;). A lot of skilled people in their 30's and 40's dont go because they know that they will be mopping floors as their education/skills are worthless over there.

Good to know the OP has liked Pakistan even after one year.

Whether or not to return to Pakistan and the question of settling in Pakistan back varies from People to people, with their circumstances, social background, economic condition, family situation, financial habits, etc.

Not all people want to come back, neither all those come back remain happy over their decision, yet there are people who want to and move back and are satisified with their decision, a good example of it here.

For those who dont want to come back, well, it is also understandable. life in Pakistan has enormous problems. I have lived there 24 years of my life, studied, worked being from a middle class family. I can understand how difficult it is to feed the family, to get proper healthcare, to meet the both ends.

Ideally, IMO, many of expat Pakistanis would like to return to Pakistan if they can have a better life there but unfortunately with current economic situation somebody who doesnt has any inherited wealth or has earn money from a job or so to feed his family it is pretty difficult. However, those not returning doesnt mean they are not patriots anymore, well, some maybe not that passionate about their homeland but that is not just with Pakistanis, there are such people in other nationalities too.

Lastly, I dont know who spreads this false propeganda but Pakistan is still a free country where people can do alot of things which they wont be allowed in another country. One thing which one cannot do, or would be in danger if he does, is openely criticizing the religion or the killings in the name of religion like Death penality over Blasphemy etc,, or try to mess with any extremist organization like Lashkar-e-Jhangwi or Taliban, etc. (I think it same in some other countries too, like in India if someone tries to mess with Hindu gods/statues will have problems) Other than that, people criticise Goverment, Army, ISI to such a level that in no other country would happen (although often i do find that insane).

this pakistani must be fed up with all the frisking, name calling, discrimination, bullying that he is loving 22 hours of load shedding and.
That's the point Mr. We get tired and you people don't get tired. As apparently its difficult to point out a difference between a Pakistani or an Indian walking on the streets of London, or New York. App to dheet log hain. Waisay bhi bunda dheet hona chahiyay, becoz Ezzat to anay janay wali cheez hoti hay....

wrong.Even parents working back home send there girl child alone for higer education So If they can send their daughters outside then i dont find your reason convincing that abroad based parents return to home country coz they have daughter and they are insecure about her.
