They are probably aware that to promote Meat eating among Hindus and sell their lamb to hindus, Ganesh had to be fair and lovely.

A 1.3 billion people market can make them very rich.

Apparently the muslims have got the right idea about the language that must be used to convince such christians.

Because Hindu scriptures promote Vegetarianism ?

Its the same as using a picture of Muhammed to sell Pork.

Its also attempts to defame and misinterpret Hinduism as a religion that promotes consumption of meat.

Hinduism neither forbids nor promotes any dietary custom - it is all related to geography. From what I understand, Islam expressly forbids the consumption of pork and is against the visual representation of their Prophet.

Sense of humor is fine till it does not depict something totally opposite. I understand some deity taking a roller coaster ride promoting an amusement park. That is for entertainment. I can understand some deity using a Rolls Royace as its vehicle dumping their traditional vehicles or animals they have been show. But showing a deity to promote something that he never does or totally against is out of reach. From which sane mind has this idea floated to use some deity whose nature or role they are not even aware of. Killing animals for food is against the fundamentals of Hinduism. Hence it is blasphemy.

The dharma shastra also tell people to maintain personal and social hygiene, but a lot of people $hit on the road too.

Dharma asks people to not drink alcohol either, but a lot of people drink alcohol.

Same for rape and crime and theft and lying etc. etc.

A 1000 years of Islamic rule and 200 years of christian rule had its effect in corroding Hindu Values.

Even if some of the Dharma Shastra say this - there is no compulsion to follow them.

Only the LAW can compel. Even then men rape and kill and murder and steal.

Dharma can only show the path, not force anyone to walk on it.

I am all for mocking religion but it has to be across the board, unfortunately people shy away when it comes to a certain religion. So it's better to be sensitive to religious sentiments until people grow a pair to mock all religions equally.

I don't care about the jokes on Ganesh, it was quite funny.

The problem is when they show him promoting eating Meat.


How about using Jesus to sell guns ? Does that make sense ?

Or use Muhammed to sell pork.

Its easy to find loopholes in Hindu scriptures because it can be misinterpreted as per their convenience.

Same is true for any religious scriptures.

But to use a Hindu god to promote an act that is against the Hindu belief and Hindu value system is a blatant act of bigotry and hate.

Ignorance is never a permissible defense in the Law. But they are banking on the fact that the Australian hindus are not so united as the US hindus.
