Australia must respect China if relations are to improve: Chinese envoy

I think you know nothing... It is Australia now asking China to be fair when comes to trade with China.. asking China to increase more trade with Australia. Not the way round, China never ask for more business with Australia. You still don't know it's Australia whoring themselves for more business with China.

China has their own way to do business that is " To be nice to me first ". You can't force your way on China. Isn't what u preach in the first place?

not sure where you hear that, most likely not in Australia, but from where I am at, last I heard, Australia is blocking a lot of Chinese business citing "National Security" reason.

The word "Dealing with China" ring fear in Australian ears. How do I know? I heard of it EVERYDAY.

You seems to think a lot about China, can't blame you, you want to be blind and dumb, I mean who am I to stop you from doing that?

Go back and read my post again, I hit post by mistake
Why must I correct your own mistake? As simple as that. Do u know why Australia dollar is dipping like no tommorow? I don't think we need an expert to tell you the answer. If Australian still didn't expect to change their attitude then don't expect any change of fortune for australia

Well, last time I type a lot , on of you said I type a lot, now I simplified my answer, then you failed to grasp my answer completely.

Coal being Australia top export was 5 years ago. Australian primary export is investment, then followed by General Merchandise. (Clothing, Electronic)

Also, do you even know the relationship between dollar value and import/export? Weak dollar favour export, strong dollar favour import if a country currency value is weak, which mean they export a lot, because you pay less and earn more on export if you have lower currency value.

If I am in hong kong, I want to buy a A$5 Kangaroo paste from Australia. Would I wait until the dollar is strong (Say 1AUD : 7.3 HKD, which mean I pay $36.5 HKD) to buy or if I want to buy when the dollar is weak ? (say 1AUD: 5HKD, which mean I pay $25HKD?)

Weak currency mean good export in Australia, not the other way around. Lol, how you don't know that yet you want to talk economic with me?

No. We are a free country and we will freely criticise a totalitarian Communist dictatorship whenever we want. End of story.
That is a load of baloney. It would be must simpler just saying: WE DON'T CARE TO IMPROVE RELATIONSHIP WITH CHINA.

Understandable. They should just close all relationship with China and put money where their mouth is. What I have seen is that Aussies are too hypocritical and I have no respect for hypocritical people.

Don't respect them lol, but don't ask people for respect because you think you are all that. And you certainly do not Demand other people to respect you, respect is earned, not demanded. If I come to your home and DEMAND respect, I expect you to show me the door.

Also, I said, when you do business with a country, you don't love or hate them.

People can demand whatever they want. Whether they get it or not is a different story. China can demand respect from Australia. Australia can refuse to respect China. It is a free world after all. You can do whatever you want. You just need to bear whatever consequences that follow. It is perfectly just. Only when you do something while somebody else bears the consequence, it is no longer just. That is exactly what politicians are good at.

And about your last sentence, don't be sentimental. When people have to either love or hate whoever they interact with, they would be long exhausted. But, doing business with someone, at least you need to be comfortable with them. That is what business courtesy is about. What Chinese envoy demands isn't really about respect. There is a big difference between the Chinese word and the English one "respect". What Chinese envoy demands is nothing more than business courtesy. Nobody is going to do business with you when you from now and then make him uncomfortable with you.

So, what is your point?

It's always about gives and takes, it's the same question when you ask if people think you are handsome. You can think you are Brad Pitts (I intentionally not use any Chinese or Hong Kong star so people will know what I am talking about), you can demand people to tell you that you are handsome, but that does not mean so, because at the end of the day, it's meaningless to said to yourself you are handsome, or force people to say the same thing. So in retrospect, it's meaningless to demand something you know it's only recognise by a third party.

it is only meaningless for bystanders like you. When you demand something, that something is ALWAYS MEANINGFUL to you. Otherwise, what is the point of demanding it?
