Chinese consulate in Karachi attacked, three militants, two police officers killed

Liberation Army claims responsibility for the attack for Chinese 'exploitation of natural resources in the country's southwest'.
Three Pakistani militants attacked the Chinese consulate in Pakistan's southern city of Karachi early on Friday, but were killed before entering the building, the city's police chief said.
At least two police officers were killed in the attack, which was claimed by the Liberation Army , insurgent group that said it opposes Chinese exploitation of natural resources in the country's southwest. It also describes itself as the Liberation Army.
All Chinese staff at the consulate are safe, Pakistani official said.
The attack was the most prominent attack in Pakistan against neighbour and ally China, which is pouring billions of dollars into the country as part of its vast Belt and Road initiative.
A blast and gunshots rang out early on Friday in the affluent Clifton neighbourhood, where the consulate is located, and a plume of smoke rose over the area after the explosion.
Karachi Police Chief said the three attackers came in a car filled with explosives but failed to get inside the heavily fortified compound.
“They tried to get inside but the Rangers and police killed one of the militant,” Karachi Police Chief said.
A gun battle broke out with the two other militants, but they were also killed, Karachi Police Chief added.
“There were three militants and all three have been killed,” Karachi Police Chief said. “They could not even get in the compound. They tried to get into the visa section.”
A spokesman for the Liberation Army confirmed there were three well trained militants.
“They stormed the Chinese embassy in Karachi. China is exploiting our resources,” spokesman Liberation Army told Reuters by telephone.
The militants are based in the southwestern province of Baluchistan, where Chinese money has funded development of a deep-water port in the city of Gwadar.
Balochistan has rich mineral and natural gas reserves but remains Pakistan's poorest province.
The Liberation Army says the state is taking over lands belonging to the indigenous Baloch people and have targeted Chinese-funded projects.
In August, a Liberation Army attacked a bus full of Chinese mining workers in Balochistan, wounding five people.

Get some balls first for your security forces. The whole incident was recorded by the media. He was perhaps the first Civilian to answer the call and joined the rangers company conducting the operation.
The world should take notice of who doesn't want peace in the region. india, indian media, indian politicians and their gullible followers have long been blaming Pakistan Army to be a hurdle in the peace process, but when we closely look at recent events, statements it is hardly rocket science to figure out who is who and what that who is trying to do. indian PM is on record publicly making statements for their part in stirring problems for Pakistan in East Pakistan, he is on record openly declaring lending their support to miscreants in Balochistan, india's ex military men and their security adviser Doval are on record making statements to help and finance proxies in Pakistan, it is not secret that RAW had established an anti CPEC unit, neither this is a news that india has made this a holy cause for themselves to sabotage CPEC. They kept doing false flags in their country killing their own people and blaming Pakistan and specially Pakistan Army and ISI for everything, they even go to the lengths of telling Pakistani people that its Pakistan Army that doesn't want any peace in this region ..........
Now the whole world saw and witnessed that Pakistani Army Chief hug an indian politician, and accepted to resolve his genuine grievance about closed border of Kartarpura ........ after three months of that event, india under pressure from their minority somehow unwillingly agreed to opening of Kartarpura border ........ the day announcement is made and people welcome a step towards peace ........ the very next BLA strikes in Pakistan attacking Chinese ........... is it rocket science to figure out that who is it that doesn't want peace between two countries? Its time to call spade a spade and make it public that its indian military and their agencies that don't want any peace between the two nations, its the indian military calling the shots in the so called biggest democracy and not their political leaders ...... this cover of democracy that they enjoy to accomplish their nefarious designs should be challenged and shattered to bring peace in this region. Keep yelling, noone in this world will buy your narrative not even the Chinese. China is yet to blame India for attack on its consulate. Why?
Kartarpur corridor talks between Indian and Pakistani government were going for past sometimes and Sidhu was nowhere involved in these talks.
As for who is calling shots in India, let me tell you that unlike Pakistan millitary in India is controlled by the Government of India and our structure and procedures make it almost impossible for millitary to interfere in descisions of GoI. Unlike ISI, RAW is under the direct command of the Prime Minister and reports on an administrative basis to the Cabinet Secretary of India, who reports to the Prime Minister.
Yelling? Unlike india It weren't us whining and bitching about india on every other non relevant international platform.
And? It only forced indians to accept it ....... when Sidhu got hugged by Pakistan Army chief. You can build and invent any narrative to fool yourselves ....... but here in Pakistan we do look at things as they are. You are changing history, changing names of places, trying claiming every other historic structure built by Muslims rulers to be a Hindu temple .......

They need to be thrown out like the filth that they are. Why should you empower someone who is against the state of Pakistan by giving him nationality you are only giving him more voice. Instead they should be put in a camp like in Iran and thrown out as soon as winter is over.
Where did PTI said they were Afghans? I made that observation because Afghans are a cause of alot of problems for Pakistan.
