Atheism: Next threat to humanity

Europe is past the religios fever. When it had death often followed religion. Few days ago we had Guy Fawkes day. A reminder that religion was often behind people being toasted.

This is not even remotely about religion despite the convenient attempt made to paint it as such. This is a war about European settlers and native Palestinians over land. If all the European settlers were Muslim the war still would be fought. You are aware that Christian Palestinians are as opposed to having their lands occupied as Muslim Palestinians.

This would be analogous to bunch of Nigeran Christians landing in Netherlands and claming your land on dubvious religious grounds going back two millenia. Would you be cool with it?

Again it might appear as religious but there are many threads at play here. There are nearly as many Muslims in India as Pakistan. The most Hindu [by %] country on earth is Nepal but Pakistan is cool with it. The reality is the trouble is over land - strategic rivalry. To colour it as religious is crude rendition of reality.

I disagree man.

Palestine and Israel have never been about blood or ethnicity.

It is the ancestral FAITH reclaiming that land.

Were all Muslim lands today conquered and converted by Arabs?

Are all Muslim lands today populated only by Arabs?

And I'll be specific. The tribes your prophet was born into and first converted.

If the answer to either is no, then no Muslim should have a problem about a white blond Jew coming back to reclaim the Kingdom of God.

The Promised Land for his faith. And where it was born.

Think a thousand years hence, and Muslims no longer live in Mecca.

The Arabs there remain the same. Only they now are Christian. Or Hindu. Or Zoroastrian.

Would Pakistanis who are probably/hypotgetically still Muslim not want to go back and reclaim.Mecca and settle that land under Islam's banner?

Even if they are of Hindu stock?

Same thing the Jews did.

Same thing the Kurds have started in the past 40 years. Supported increasingly now by Indian Parsi Zoroastrians. Financially and theologically.

Entirely disagree. The reason Pakistan is united is down to little legacy left by the British. It's called institutional sanction. The army, the police, the civil serbice collectively create enough coercive force to hold everything together. Proof?

Here we go again, British drum beating :-)

You need to be on the ground to see the real Pakistan. Listen to the foreign travellers who are signing songs of Pakistan and Pakistanis. British didn't teach us how to be as humans, Allah did. Islam unites us.

I will give you a full riposte later but for now I leave you to muse over this. If few million Bosnian Muslims had landed in Palestine and set up their state in 1947. Do you think Palestinians would be like "okay you be Muslims so we will just keel over"?

You need to be on the ground to see the real Pakistan.
I am on the 'ground' as much as you if even not more. And no idea what the referance to "foreign travellers" is about.

Whataboutery big bro.

Islam wasnt there first. It came LAST.

Israel is not Islam's promised land.

It is of the Jews and Christians. Islam has no claim.

You are looking at it from the Palestinians' eyes.

I am looking at it from Jewish eyes.

Behind which are my own Zoroastrian eyes.

I've added the Kurdish perspective to my earlier post when you do get back.

Look forward as always to your riposte.

Tourists who travel all over Pakistan and meet Pakistanis of all walks.

Had you been on the ground, you wouldn't have made that comment giving credit to the British. British also trained Iraqi and Irani armies of the past.

Do you know what Stephen Hawking said in his last book just before he died?

CNN - 'There is no God,' says Stephen Hawking in final book

Personally, I have been through a near-death experience (car crash) and I didn't have any time to pray, let alone to choose which out of the thousands of God(s) to pray to. I did have one overriding thought at that moment, it had everything to do with family and nothing to do with religion.

And in any case, the idea that a person on the verge of death may desperately choose to pray to a deity (any deity) to save themselves doesn't really say anything about the existence of the God(s) and certainly doesn't suggest they are benevolent for that to be the required condition.

. . .
We Pakistanis as muslims are unique indeed. Despite horrible governance and law enforcement for 3 decades, we are still intact and stronger militarily than before. Put any nation in the situation that we've been through, and that nation would have broken up. Islam has been our one and only bond.

It's not about the IDENTITY of God.

Just that He is.

The concept. The belief.

The anchor.

The port of last hope.

Glad you're still with us.

Someone was watching over you.

Atheists would say it was chance.

Aoa

WaS.

Closer study is required on that. Not once it is mentioned in Quran that earth orbits around anything. Earth is described as a carpet (stretched).

Reconciling between the view that the Earth is round and the verse “And Allah has made for you the earth wide spread (an expanse)” [Quran 71:19]

This actually explains the issue clearly.

Ar-Raazi (may Allah have mercy on him) said:

If it is said: Do the words “And the earth We spread out” indicate that it is flat?

We would respond: Yes, because the earth, even though it is round, is an enormous sphere, and each little part of this enormous sphere, when it is looked at, appears to be flat.

Hope that helps.

I visited many parts of this world. One thing I always noticed that religious people, from all the religions are less poisonous. They have values, and fear of God, in one or the other form.
Humans fought two big wars, under the banner of atheism. As religion departs, humans become animals. Son tries to marry mother, and father marries daughter. Humans are killed like cats and dogs, and no body gives a damn.
Now, as the world is running towards atheism, the humanity is running faster towards its end, and humans, with no morals are equipped with enough lethal weapons to wipe out each other.

Atheism is bigger threat than any other religion today, as atheist are a threat from within. They may be your brothers, sisters, or friends. And this disease is spreading, as in this era of machine, humans don't need God, anymore.

I think, missionaries from all religions should be united against this threat. Denial of God should be handled on priority basis.

I have one question here: What may be the most convincing argument for the existence of God? Like how to convince an atheist that there exists a God, as they just deny it, as they can't see it.
@Mentee @BHarwana @Pan-Islamic-Pakistan @Hakikat ve Hikmet @Zarvan
Other than maybe threatening religious nutjobs (Mullahs), atheism is not threatening anyone

There is no such evidence for the existence of God. All the evidences depends on the eye of the beholder

What is the source of this much energy and information. Chance leads us nowhere but to impossibilities.

Please don't you are giving him leeway to attack quran and that too Very foolishly.

I do have a hope, and that hope is that humanity is essentially good.

Whether God exists or not, that's not something I know. I am an Agnostic, which means I am waiting for the evidence. If there is no evidence by the time that I die, that's fine too, I love the fact that there are still mysteries in the universe for us to solve.

Someone was watching over you.

If God was both good and all-powerful they could have stopped all the bad things happening (war, famine, disease, etc.) before they even happened. Which either means they (1) don't exist, (2) they don't care, or (3) they wanted it to happen as part of some insanely cruel test.

And since I don't believe any creator could be that cruel, that leaves only options (1) or (2).

Atheism follows in the shadow of science.

In actual fact, "science" is the atheists' God.

So what God does not yet know or can explain, becomes the fall-off edge of the flat earth for the atheist.
