Technology and economics are not dependent on religion. That's just not the point of this discussion. And if really want to make this to be the point of discussion than for you I have an example of Jews, whether religious or non religious, they at the top of both the technology and economics. The science due to which Europe is advanced in technology today came from the Islamic Arab land. Books translated from Arabic were taught in European countries even till late 18th century. Not only that. Just yesterday, I bought a high-tech gadget from Somalia. Let me tell you, that gadget blew me away with its awesomeness. I thought, only a highly religiously Muslim country can produce something so sophisticated. It must be Allah who guided them to such a high development. My rather unreligious countryfellows can only produce such low-tech stuffs like Mercedes, BMW and Porsche.
The point of this discussion is moral values and in particular, the concept of humanity, as we know it.
I have seen many atheist Germans selling their businesses to some Chinese atheist in first place, taking millions of Euros, and then when Chinese multiply that company with 3 or 4, then crying : these Chinese have no morality, they aren't human at all. Not a single case but many such cases.
That's the thing I am talking about. No religion, no morals. Humans will be either technologically advance or not, it will not be human at all.
