Asif Sandila - the new Pakistan Navy chief

ISLAMABAD: Vice Admiral Asif Sandila has been promoted to the rank of Admiral and will assume charge of the Pakistan Navy, Geo News reported.

Sandila will replace Admiral Noman Bashir as the country’s Chief of Naval Staff. The decision was taken after Sandila met with President Asif Ali Zardari.

Admiral Noman Bashir is expected to retire on October 8.

Mohammed Asif Sandila sounds muslim. To my knowledge non muslims will normally not use 'Mohammed' name.
