You gave examples of American start-ups started my US citizens of Pakistani origin. By your logic, Google, Microsoft, ArcelorMittal, PepsiCo are all held by Indians and Bose, Cognizant, Syntel are all Indian companies. Stop embarrassing yourself.

China is not a free market economy. That's the only real reason.

India has companies that can compete with the best in the world. Wait for Reliance Retail to jump in the game.

ok- the only thing he mentioned in that post about 'China' is that Alibaba(aka 'China'- in the context here) would never had succeeded in Mexico or Brazil if he started Alibaba there.

So explain how has China not being a free market economy has got to do with that(not likely to succeed in Brazil and Mexico)?
