As possibility of third world war exists, China needs to be prepared

Sea born invasion should be defeated by strong land forces and the sea routes not so important nowadays.

Then why is China so eager to expand its navy, and why does Russia want to restore its Pacific fleet ? I heard that China plans to deploy dozen of aircraft cariers by 2020. Until space can become the battlefield, the sea is still the playground for superpowers.

BTW I have already prepare for WW4. There is a heap of stone and stick lying in the corner of my house .

Japan and not China is the most technically advanced country in Asia in 2014. In defense also Russia and Japan have a clear edge. China has some distance to go (2025) before it surpasses Japan to become the most technologically advanced country in Asia by a sizable margin.

for example, the American carrier battle group is one of the most feared naval power in the world. How would you defeat it? One is to use anti-ship cruise missile, another is air power but what if the carrier battle group is outside the effective range of missiles and air power or you only have sufficient long-range anti-ship missiles for defence? This is where your naval power comes in, particularly submarines with anti-ship weapon and torpedoes to counter the carrier battle group and submarines that would likely protecting the said force..

Both world wars were caused due to the policy of britain and its allies to contain the influence of central powers, chiefly germany. Germany was too great a nation to be treated like that. A lesser nation wouldve taken the dictation of bigger powers. But germany fancied its chances for a total victory on the continent to create some breathing space. In todays world i see no great nation being suppressed that would try to explode out of its chains and cause world war.
