The Chinese air force apparently has deployed bombers to an air base in the country’s far west, placing the warplanes within striking distance of Indian forces along the disputed Chinese-Indian border in the Himalayas.
Kashgar lies around 500 miles from Ladakh, the region of northern India along which runs the Line of Actual Control, the demarcation between Indian and Chinese forces in the Himalayas. Diplomats drew that line as part of truce talks following a bitter, bloody border war in 1962.

The satellites photos of the bombers appear to depict what aviation-expert Andreas Rupprecht surmised to be KD-63 land-attack cruise missiles under the H-6s’ wings. The KD-63 boasts a range of around 125 miles.

India and China’s bases near the Line of Actual Control lie many thousands of feet above sea level. Kashgar is situated 4,000 feet above sea level.

The high, thin air can pose challenges to combat aircraft. A lack of lifting power can reduce payload on fighters to minimal fuel and just a few small missiles. Bombers could face some of the same constraints.

Less fuel means less range. For the Chinese, aerial refueling isn’t really an option, as the Chinese air force operates at most a couple dozen tanker planes.

with each passing day of non deescalation, the cost of war escalates. we must thank chinese actually to wake us up from slumber and boost local production. it will be a long road but eventually we will reach there....

coming back to the topic, these are bombers from 1960's and easy target for SAM's.... but reading the article in detail tells that chinese will use standoff weapons and PGM's

but chinese are also aware that we are using satellite imagery to large extent and they want to show off these weapons so they are in 'display' area of the hanger and not hidden away... LOL cheesy ...

If Forbes can put an article then our satellites must already picked up these guys .... let them bring all their assets to LAC and show them off.... war is definitely coming ..... till them lets play economic war game... escalate cost on chinese as much as possible.... bring allies to bleed them....

Indian satellites: China has the capability to strike them

Bombers from 60s: US B-52 are 50s and still very effective and in use.

Wake India from slumber: only to find that China has gobbled a large chunk, and is about take away more.

Looks like a major Indian surrender is on the cards.

Wow. That is some serious hardware. China means business. Pakistan will take care of India from the other side. Let China start the assault. We will play a little tag match.

The message is loud and clear. If I were India I would pack my bags. Modi is already weak. The economy was already in doldrums even before corona. Today Indian economy has taken big KO blows.
