Aussies are afraid not jealous. Australia has only faced mini recessions until 2020. Some even claim no recession for the past 40 years (might be more or less on the number). They don't need Chinese fake gdp numbers. They have been doing quite well.

Huge numbers of Chinese students go to Australia to study, paying the Aussie govt. $$$ they couldn't get anywhere else. It's this dependence that they fear.....because the Chinese are also buying loads of real estate in Australia.....to get out of the clinches of the CCP. I posted a thread criticizing Australia and Western governments for defending the massacre of Australian soldiers.
But I was surprised that someone gave me 3 negative ratings in a row, and I only received 1 negative rating, before today.
Many people criticize and laugh at China, but I have never rated others negatively.
I also criticized and ridiculed India, Vietnam, the United Kingdom, and the United States, but no one gave me a negative score.
In my impression, negative scores rarely appear, so much so that I was really surprised that I received 3 in a row.
Obviously, some people’s thinking is exactly the same as that of Western governments and Western media: if I can’t refute, let them shut up

The Chinese Government does encourage you to think rationally, not societal atheism or whatever that is. There is a difference.
I was born into a Christian family. While growing up, the age of the internet grew along, I started researching and educating myself. I question myself. I am still a Christian literally, but I am not pious. I still celebrate Christmas at the same time follow Chinese traditional festivals. So that's that.

The thing is I didn't see those Western countries address the civilians killing problem directly when they were asked, instead they deflected the focus on calling the artwork as fake and inappropriate. Isn't the same thing when Trump and Pompeo keep openly calling the covid19 as "China's virus" in twitter and public events, even without the fact based? While none of those righteous countries come out to say that are inappropriate and inflammatory. So when USA is doing the same thing is not a problem, why now become a problem. Diplomacy is an art of wording, sometimes people have to read beneath the lines and judge the actions accordingly to see its true meaning.
