What should be India's policy now:

India should try diplomacy for 1 more week. if solved good. otherwise go to step two

encircle the Chinese camp from all sides. and ask them to surrender or take them into custody. IF they agree good. Otherwise take step three.

Tell the Chinese that no helicopter will be allowed to enter Indian airspace.. if it enters it will be shot. No helicopter enters then good, the Chinese soldiers would give up in few days due to lack of supplies.

Keep suffiicient forces as back up. If Chinese helicopter enters, give warnings. IF it doesn't go back. boom down goes a cheap heli.

then wait and watch. If China escalates, escalate to equal proportions. Let the burden of the Choice of war be on Chinese and let them escalate the situation.

Again Poor Nehru is no more man, Our current Generals and Govrn won't do the same Mistake.... In reply to China's Rail Network we're Building Roads Right, till the work finishes Many of the Inidan troops are stationed in North, If they can mount dozens of Troops then so do we can,.. and the cargo planes which India has more than enough to Air lift the troops and Arms to those areas in time... so no need to worry about logistics....We aren't fool to not to have an contingency plan... we may just down play it.

Talks are already on at the highest level, either this issue will sorted out diplomatically or else no one can stop IA from kicking these PLA troops out from Indian Territory just like 1987.
