Army wants ‘Show of Force’ , Government not keen !!

lets see how long can these PLA soldiers survive without supply. We can observe their activity and are they using closed oxygen rooms?

I think, International media must come into play.

abey <aar. Are you not understanding this simply? If they reduce the water, it is not just going to affect us but Affect you more. No one stops Ganga or Yamuna, we only regulate when there are chances of flood. And prior information is always given to your officials. I have seen the regulators near India Bangladesh borders which prevent Bagladesh too from floods. Nonsense.

Man, I know it will hurt us too. And you are faaaaaaaaaaaaaar from reality about indian water treatment to BD. Please come to Bangladesh and see padma river in rajshahi. I can name countless other river being destroyed. I will pay for your stay in BD. Just come and stop believing your shitty media.

They are already supplying even cigarettes with hellis

do you have the link, that helis are supplying them? Which is the nearest Chinese heli base from there?

I have seen the padma river dude and even seen fisherman fishing. It is not due to India if it dries up. You have delta of Sundarbans full of water, what are you saying dude. Bangladesh has scarcity of electricity and highways but not water.

because Indian government is really sane. By the way, where is that' show of force' confidence coming from?

It is true that India is not as advanced as china in terms of military parity but make no mistake sir that should a war be fought , we may have terrible casualty in India but we will also make sure that Chinese dragon will never able to stand on its feet let alone breathe fire....

Many in west have touted this century to be Asia's.. and to that both India and China will be required to play the role different they may be... but Chinese are hell bent upon making this century that would bury Asia forever ... focusing on all the wrong things... do you really believe that the west and USA would allow china to become sole power, a position they have enjoyed for almost a century and to reach their it took almost half a millennium...

China's deep
intrusion into eastern Ladakh
region was a well-planned
exercise to needle India, even
though the government is now
taking pains to stress it's "more of a tactical-level operation"
rather than one with "any
strategic intent". More than 30 troops from the
People's Liberation Army (PLA),
who pitched tents around
18km inside what India
perceives to be its territory 10
days ago, came equipped with supplies for the long haul. They
have also been detected to be
using "one to three vehicles"
between the face-off site and
their tented camp around 500
metre towards the east. The rival troops are actually
positioned only 100 to 200
metre apart in the face-off site
at Raki Nala in the Depsang
Bulge area, with the 50-60
Indian troops from Ladakh Scouts and ITBP setting up
their own camps towards the
west. With India stepping up both air
and ground surveillance of the
area, Army chief General
Bikram Singh also briefed
defence minister AK Antony on
the situation on Thursday. "The PLA troops, who also have two
sniffer dogs, have not
exhibited any aggressive
behaviour till now. We are
keeping a close watch. If they
increase their numbers, we will match them and examine
other options," said a source. The Army has already
suggested "five to six options",
including "a show of force" if
the matter comes to a head,
which can be implemented in a
calibrated manner to "pressure" the PLA to leave the
area. But the government is
working for "a diplomatic, not
military, solution as of now",
he added. It normally requires around
2-3kg of supplies and rations,
apart from 5-6 litres of water,
to sustain a single soldier per
day in the area, which is at an
altitude of around 16,300 feet. "The Chinese have already
been there for 10 days and we
have not yet detected any
replenishment convoy or
helicopter sortie. So, they came
well-prepared to set up the camp," said a source. "The Chinese, equipped with
assault rifles and other
standard arms, are also using
vehicles between the face-off
site and their camp. The area is
motorable. We will stay there till the Chinese are there," he
added. The entire 14 Corps (over
35,000 troops) deployed in
Ladakh — with an infantry
division, a mountain division
and an artillery brigade — is,
however, maintaining "a high state of operational readiness"
to tackle any contingency.
Long-range surveillance
equipment, including UAVs
(unmanned aerial vehicles) or
spy drones, are also been used in order to detect if there is a
Chinese build-up in the region. Incidentally, in keeping with
the government policy to treat
the stand-off as "a localized
affair", an Indian military
delegation is currently in China
to finalize the dates for the third edition of the "Hand-in-
Hand" (HiH) counter-terrorism
exercise. The Indian and Chinese armies
had undertaken the first two
HiH exercises in Kunming
(China) in 2007 and Belgaum in
2008. But after China denied a
proper visa to the then Northern Army commander Lt
Gen BS Jaswal in July 2010 on
the ground that he was
commanding forces in the
"disputed and sensitive" region
of J&K, all bilateral military engagements were frozen.

China’s deep intrusion was well-planned but govt dubs it 'tactical' - TOI Mobile | The Times of India Mobile Site

Hey @Sarjen what are the chances of sniffer dogs ending up being eaten up by PLA soldiers ???

Indians always bring this up where ultimately status quo was maintained. As far as the wrold know is that china took over the whole NE in 1962 and showed mercy to Indian aggression by returning it.
