Army orders ALCOTAN Shoulder Fired Anti Tank Weapon System

Hazrat Why is one more reliable than the other? Do all reusable systems fire at target but the disposable systems simply fire backwards? I and many others have explained it in detail but you just have to argue for the sake of arguing.

Hazrat are you in active military service or were you in military? you say you know about modern warfare. How have you come to be educated in modern warfare please share.
I am saying if Alotan 100 has more rate of fire I would use that in war but if reusable weapon has more rate of fire I would use that.

How do you determine the rate of fire? Have you actually tested in field? You are comparing a system that is always ready to fire vs one that needs prepping to be fired! ALCOTAN just attach sight and fire. RPG and Carl Gustav need to be prepped before firing.

Sir do they have replaced Carl Gaustav with disposable weapon the answer is no. In fact USA itself is modernizing RPG 7. I have posted pictures before it's also buying latest Carl Gaustav and also producing new version of Bazooka. Also most of the other countries still use disposable weapons and in seriously large numbers. Sir my point is simple when I am in a war where enemy is moving forward and in massive numbers I would trust a weapon which is more reliable and has more rate of fire specially when the ammo is of same category or almost same.

I am not going on any where Sir issue is simple when several enemy Tanks are moving in my direction I want a weapon with more rate of fire so I can hit as many Tanks and IFV and there soldiers as I can.
Zarvan NO ONE is saying here that they are replacing RPG 7. Infact, if i temember correctly it was you who daid that we need to "replace RPG crap" and pointed why they are not going anywhere, some months back.
The discussion or the disagreement here is that you are calling the disposable systems as crap and 5hitty, i amasking you just you to:
  1. Be open to new ideas and just think for a while why all the countries that i mentioned including Americans next generation weapon is being based in this setup
  2. be stubborn and claim that your views are divine and the system is crap and all those countries are stupid.
Cannot make the choice simpler for you.

What about amount of damage imparted? What if 2 rounds per minute if Alcotan can deal significantly more damage than 6 rounds of Carl Gustav?

That said, I agree that dumb weapons such as RPGs should NEVER be retired because in case of something like a neutron bomb exploding, all electronics will get completely fried. Same is the case with a general microwave based EMP weapon. So you always need dumb weapons and the expertise to be able to use them effectively.

Belarus revealed this nifty system called the PD-7. It's basically a smart sight like the VOSEL (M2) with a laser rangefinder and ballistic computer, which calculates an aim-point using information of the munition and the combat area's environment (e.g. wind speed, temperature, etc). But here's the thing ... it only weighs 2 kg and it's for the RPG-7!! @Arsalan @CriticalThought

Something on these lines MUST be produced/developed or procured.

I would like to see Shibli take up the challenge and bring us some locally built innovations.

Even if they follow there usual routine and sign up with some foreign organization to locally produce such a system it will be great.

Precision weapons are the requirement of future and doctrine world wide is shifting to less but more efficient weaponary. This system or something similar can turn the RPGs of 60s to become some thing 21st century compatible.

Can anyone apprise on roughly how many RPG7 launchers may be in use with Pakistan Army and what type of rockets are available with them?
