Well it is such a strange thought, you are talking about STOPPING trucks loaded with food, if you can STOP trucks loaded with food, why on earth can NOT check it?

They could not stop a FM radio but cutting food to citizens. Wars are not win like this.

.
Hi,

Fm radio is no big deal. It is very easy to operate. Food cut out is a standard procedure under siege conditions and it works very well. Many a wars have been won by controlling what can go into a battle zone.

It is called 'Resource control'!

It was practised in Vietnam.

It is said to be effective in ensuring that no extra population is in the zone i.e. the terrorists. However, more often than not, it has not been very successful, even though it is a useful tool.

i think this is a good think. the way the millitants responded by saying that this would affect the people leads me to believe that they know that this is going to hurt them and they are using the people as an excuse.

Three soldiers injured in attacks in Waziristan
Saturday, November 24, 2007

MIRANSHAH: At least three soldiers suffered injuries in separate incidents in North Waziristan Agency on Friday, sources said.

An official said militants attacked an army convoy with two remote-controlled bombs on Friday in Mir Ali, North Waziristan, injuring a jawan and destroying two vehicles, sources said. The convoy was going to Razmak when it came under attack at Tall checkpost, 20 kilometers south of Miranshah. The official added that the security forces fired six artillery shells in retaliation from the army camp, but no casualties were reported.

The security forces also ordered residents of three villages in Mirpur to vacate the areas. However, they did not comply with the orders and the security forces had to fire artillery shells to force them to desert their houses. There were no reports of any casualties.

Another army convoy at Mana army camp in the Shawaal area also came under attack. Two jawans were wounded and later airlifted to the Bannu Combined Military Hospital (CMH). staff report

VERY IMPORTANT TO CATCH TOP MILITANT LEADERSHIP, TO STOP FUTURE SS BOMBINGS??????

.
Well the common sense here is that is Swat populated totally by militants? If it is true Govt. would try to stop food, close hospitals etc., if it is not true and militants are somewhat less than 1000 in total, who are the others living in this densely populated district?

If others are not militants, being humans they do need food, as do people in Punjab, Karachi, Quetta, Waziristan and Kabul do.

.
AND Mastan Khan Bhai, I think FM radios are a big deal, a senior army personnel did say that if it is stopped, the influence will be reduced by 60%. That is why they requested USA to provide with the technology to block the transmission of FM radios.

I hope MCS (Military College of Signals) will do some research on it for the future.

Now Fazlullah's spokesman Sirajuddin warned the militants might unleash suicide bombers if authorities did not lift the food blockade, suggesting that it's starting to hurt them.

.
militants were going down they r going to talk tarsh, never mind SSbombings, are still being carried in, there is only 1 solution which is END OF MILLITANCY????

Brothers.
A Mullah may keep fast but talk about separating a Mullah from his food-----Thats heracy. Of course if Maulana Saheb does not get his 7 tea spoons of sugar in his tea how can he say his prayers with concentration.

So in your "COMMON" sense, there are no women, no children, no one except the militants. Good.

If it is true Govt. would try to stop food, close hospitals etc.,
Because you have already said it as common sense, it is true.

if it is not true and militants are somewhat less than 1000 in total, who are the others living in this densely populated district?
Shifting suddenly from calling the whole population as militants to less than thousand and after an leisurely after thought thinking, hey wait, there could be other people living over there.

So only people in Punjab, Karachi, Quetta, Waziristan and Kabul need food?

How do you plan to stop only the Moulana Saheb to not get his 7 tea spoons without capturing him?
