Army didn't have enough chutes for cross-LoC raids

OFB do produce everything at home .

Parachute paratroop type PTR-M is a personnel back-type parachute to be used by the parachutist for the predetermined jump from a minimum height of 457 m having the rate of descent varying from 4.5 to 5.8 m per second depending on air velocity, atmospheric pressure and altitude.
Dropping Load-160 kgs
Dropping Height 457 to 3656 m

Parachute paratroop type PTR-R is a personnel reserve parachute to be used by the parachutist for the predetermined jump from a minimum height of 457 m when the main parachute i.e. PTR-M fails to open.

Parachute Tactical Assault Type PTA-M

PTA-M is a low level personnel back type parachute to be used by the parachutist for a predetermined jump. The parachute is highly drag efficient, stable and quick opening and has air scoops and anti-inversion netting facilitating easy opening of the canopy.
Dropping Load -150 kgs
Dropping Height 600 ft AGL to 15000 ft AMSL

PARASAIL
Parasailing is an adventurous aero sport. Parasailor along with the Parasail parachute is pulled mechanically by the jeep. The Canopy gets inflated and on further pulling starts ascending in the air like glider upto certain height. At a predetermined height Parachutist is disconnected from the rope and starts descending with the help of Parachute.

Ram Air parachute is a highly steerable & gliding free fall parachute for clandestine and deep penetration into enemy territory. The parachute in a 9-cell configuration has been developed for use by Army, Air Force and adventure wings. The parachute is fully maneuverable & provides pinpoint landing.

The canopy is in rectangular-shape with aerofoil design. The parachute consists of two layers of almost nil porosity fabric with intervening aerofoil shaped ribs making cells. During development air rams through the opening of cells and canopy is deployed in the shape of wing surface to provide lift.

PARACHUTE SYSTEM FOR MORTAR BOMB 81 MM ILLUMINATING AND OTHER AMMUNITION

This parachute is used to decelerate and to stabilise the speed of bombs and for a quick illumination of target area. These parachutes can also be used to provide complete battle field illumination.

This parachute is used for emergency bailing out from HPT-32 aircraft and as the name indicates it is a seat type parachute filled into the seat pan of the aircraft.

PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS

Taking into consideration the abandoning speed of the aircraft (110 to 180 Knots), the maximum height (4000m) and the mass of the aircrew (52 to 90 Kgs), this parachute assembly has been designed with a 7.31 m (24 ft) dia canopy, a fully adjustable harness and an appropriate pack cover for fitting snugly into the seat pan of the HPT-32 aircraft. It is also provided with a rip cord & housing for its manual operation and an inertia-proof four point quick release Box for instant removal of harness after landing.

High Altitude Parachute has been designed and developed for use in high altitude dropping zones upto 20,000 ft ASL and for training jumps at plains from high speed AN-32 A/C.

Heavy Drop system P-7 is a platform system. The system is for dropping Jeeps & heavy vehicles etc. from IL-76 A/C. The vehicle is attached with platform. And vehicle is dropped with platform. In the system initially one extractor is inflated, then auxiliaries and then main parachutes open.
Load dropping capacity 10 tons

This Parachute is used for dropping supplies and loads ranging from 135 to 160 kg from Aircraft flying at 305m height with a speed of 120 to 150 knots.

Brake Parachute for reducing the landing run of MiG-29 has been indigenously developed. Unicross design canopy has 10 m of separation distance from the aircraft tail end. A unique feature of integrated riser and rigging lines has been adopted to reduce its mass. The canopy design has also been optimised with reduced size for mass saving. On pilot’s command the main canopy is deployed providing deceleration to the aircraft.

The brake parachute is used to reduce the landing run of the aircraft. The brake parachute ensures required reduction of landing run of the aircraft during landing at speed not exceeding 300 kmph, when the system is released. Parachute deployment speeds viz. NORMAL– 300 kmph (160 knots) and EMERGENCY– 390 kmph (210 knots) Recommended aircraft speed at which the parachute should be jettisoned at the end of decelerating run – 30 knots. The brake parachute system is not to be used again, if used at speed of 390 kmph (210 knots) or more in emergency.

The brake parachute is used to reduce the landing run of the aircraft. The parachute is stowed directly into a metal container with the parachute connecting link protruding at the aft end. The main parachute is held in position in the removable container by a pair of locking straps and the auxiliary parachute is stowed in a small pack which is attached to one of the straps. The brake parachute system is designed to operate normally at streaming of upto 150 Knots, but can be operated at a speed upto 180 Knots in an emergency. The present life is 40 streams.

Although elsewhere this picture has been used for different purpose, none the less, it's not Pakistani soldiers who often take their own lives due to lack of facilities.
Happens even in the US Army/Marines..and remember they reached Abottabad.
