Army close to winding up first phase of operation

We're all forgetting that the PAF and PA Aviation has been pounding them for months now before the launch of the ground op. That alone would have led to demoralization and confusion among their ranks just waiting for the launch of the ground op.

Now Fundamentalist will change his tune from the "Taliban are invincible" to "It's all an American trap and no Taliban exist". Tried and tested Jamaati tactics.

I told you before they were not fight a conventional war with PA , they will remain hidding in mountain caves and tunnels.

No need to change my statment every thing is going as per my understanding of satuation.

It was US strategy to engage PA in long term gurrilla war to further break our financial back bone , you will see soon IMF will come and bring new financial package to further tighten our neck.

Their ultimate goal is our nuke every thing else is part of their topi drama.:D

Dont try to be over smart , atleast look towards your shoulder, negative frame of mind cant give you any benefit

Your negative attitude is reflecting your personality.

Better discuss with positive frame of mind

thanks

Brother , there will be no heavy fighting , they will do small guerilla operation nothing more , they are hiding in high mountains 5000 ft or more , it is impossible to drive them out from their tunnels and caves fully furnished.;)
bro, you are talking as if living in those mountains and caves at 5000 ft of altitude is an easy task. Ok, so may argue that they're some tough SOBs and will do alright, but I know that toughest of men have their limits, how long can anyone live up there? ask yourself, what about supplies, importantly food, you can certainly rule out maan-o-salwa from god for his warriors. They will occasionally have to come down for supplies and refreshment and it's easier said than done, esp. with PA helis and jets flying above. More importantly you may find it hard to believe but these guys have been living in villages and towns for years and have gotten quiet accustomed to easy life, so i would say if they're planning guerilla attacks from mountains, g'luck. But their end is near.

Your understanding of this "satuation" :D previously was that PA would lose in Swat where talibs would come back after living in mountains. Guess what? PA landed on top of talibs heads in the mountains. The rest we already know what happened. Mullah Fazlullah now controls a company of goats.

This is a war for Pakistan's future, where Pakistanis are giving their lives for our ongoing freedom, while you are obsessed with the US, which probably pays your checks in Saudi. We know that you're the only one doing the topi drama here.

. .
Real phase of gurrilla war will start after winter , it will be most difficult and nerve breaking phase .ISAF is facing same problem.

Yeah and that's why PA and PAF will have to make sure that no mountain height remain in TTP's grasp. Gaining higher positions in territories like FATA can be prove instrumental to the outcome of any battle in particular if it is COIN.

No thanks! We Indians prefer to sit back and watch our enemies kill each other.

For the record, great work by the PA! I hope our Army is watching this operation, since we might require a similar offensive against the Maoists strong holds in the NE.

Don't even think about conducting an operation like this in India until and unless local population is 100% with Indian army otherwise it will turn another Kashmir for you guys.

.
What do you guys think about the operation..
Is it going successfully?
What will be the aftermath of the operation...peace..or blasts...

I hope we see peace...

450 militants killed in Waziristan offensive: Pak Army

slamabad: Pakistan Army's offensive against the Taliban in South Waziristan is moving along ahead of schedule as security forces have killed around 450 militants and captured several key rebel bases, chief military spokesman Maj Gen Athar Abbas said today.

Operation Rah-e-Nijat (Path to Salvation) is "going well ahead of time and the terrorists are on the run", Abbas said.

Sararogha, once seen as the operational base of the Taliban, has been cleared and troops had entered Makeen, another important headquarters of the militants, he said.

Around 450 militants have been killed and many others arrested while 42 soldiers, including officers, had lost their lives in the fighting, Abbas said in an interview with Radio Pakistan.

Another 142 soldiers had been injured. "Most importantly, we are enjoying not only the support of the masses but that of the tribes as well. Our real target is to free the Mehsud tribe from the claws of the terrorist organisation so that they can lead their lives according to their customs," Abbas said.

Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan chief Hakimullah Mehsud, who is believed to be in the lawless South Waziristan region, belongs to the Mehsud tribe.

Despite the government's efforts, the Mehsud tribe has not risen in revolt against the Taliban.
