When COAS visits America, Russia or China, that too costs money. We can afford PM trips. He is the PM for god's sake.

Sir, a lot of them are businessmen, the type of people who own industries in Pakistan and thus provide jobs to thousands of people. They are there for their 'personal' gains, basically to sort out any business deals. The more their business expands, the more the jobs provided and thus the economy expands.

There was a guy called Rashid Choudhary in USA, still is. Big businessman in Chicago area, he runs a cosmetics company. Filthy rich. How do i know? Well, through some good family members who were his physicians in USA. He used to routinely travel on Air Force One with President Clinton in 1990s....because he was a businessman first, and was on the lookout for business deals. His company employed hundreds of Americans and provided vital funding to Democrats.

Same thing with Pakistanis. All the big businessmen of the country want to maintain relations with who ever is in power.

Point being, such trips by PM will always be expensive, but we should see what tangible and intangible benefits do they bring.
