He has proved he has no honor. He should have resigned the day the two previous chiefs forced him to accept his wrong date of birth for future promotion. Where was his honor then? All said and done it will be interesting as he will have to expose his previous bosses to win his case. lastly he says that as a 16 year old lad he signed the Academy form filled out by his teacher without noting the mistake. shame on him.

No it based on facts. The only way the GOI can walk out of this mess is by making him CDS. A win win situation for all as India gets and honest CDS and civil servants loose their hold.

I like this..that displays a healthy democracy...he must resign if proven wrong or else its perfectly fine of him to act according to the law of the country and fight till the point is proven.

I agree I meant that the man who leads the Indian Army is due to the govt's zidd forced to go the courts for justice.He could have done a lot of drama with support from the Army but humbly he went to the court.

A couple of years to late I would say? Maybe the GOI is in cahoots with him to make him the first CDS. Nothing like a court order to do that.

Ha ha and if I don't will you go back crying to your old lady? The Gen. took his time to rake it up and hence his intentions are suspect. Can't believe a 16 year old man needs his teacher to fill in his academy joining form. How can you trust him with a million strong army?

where is it written in Indian constitution that Army Chief cant go to supreme court against the govt..??

Well if my chief cannot fill in the right date in his academy form in English I would be very worried! Did he cheat or copy in his tests?

who knows that could have been an honest mistake-- everybody makes mistake--- even i he made a slight mistake of filling the year incorrectly-- wasnt it govts responsibility to aleast crosscheck the documents--- why everything is being turned upside down now all of a sudden-- army chief had been requesting humbly to resolve this-- govt. didnt do this for obvious reasons-- he decided to move to the court-- why such a hue n cry about it-- let the court decide about it-
