I'm familiar with the dynamics of Afghanistan. And your comments just confirms what I'm saying. If Taliban is Pakistan's proxy in Afghanistan, do you think Iran will sit idly by while some group who "got no love for Iran and being strict sunni militia" will sit in power in Kabul? We're not living in the 1990s anymore.
Yes, like the LCA, it will take awhile, but it will get done.
I agree. I will like to add China and Russia to the mix too.
The sole reason the minority , the farsawan, the Persian speaking, or the northern alliance, the current Afghan regime, is in Kabul, because of the collective support from whole western civilization, America and NATO, not because India and Iran support to them. Western civilization hold on Afghanistan is waning and when they pack their bags, which they will sooner or later, I dont think anyone in Pakistan will give two cents about so called Indian or Iranian influence in Afghanistan. The last time both India and Iran exercised their collective influence in Afghanistan in support of northern alliance, they found themselves entrenched in a rat hole called Panjsher valley, and that is where their influence end.
Afghan Taliban are not our proxy as such. Its a Pakhtoon movement headed by those who were born and bred in Pakistan during Soviet war. You have to remember that there are more Pakhtoon in Pakistan then in Afghanistan, more Pakhtoon in Karachi then in Kabul. This is something by default not by design. Whether its Taliban, or some rebranded entity or any other mechanism which will eventually put Pakhtoons back in Kabul means Pakistan is back in business. India and Iran to be honest are irrelevant here, they have been made relevant in post 9/11 Afghansitan due to Amreica/NATO/Europe putting their money on same horses which were backed by India and Iran in pre 9/11 Afghanistan. It was a western civilization mistake for which they paid the price and have now it seems come to their senses.
