National Assembly Member (MNA) Mohsin Dawar and his supporters on Sunday allegedly opened fire at an Army checkpost in North Waziristan’s Miran Shah, Express News reported.

Five security personnel have also been reportedly injured.

Reports suggested that the disgruntled protesters first chanted slogans against the soldiers present at the check-post and then later opened fire.

On May 6, a first information report (FIR) was registered against members of Pashtun Tahafuz Movement’s (PTM) central committee including MNA Ali Wazir in North Waziristan.

The FIR was registered against Wazir and 11 other individuals for “enticing people to revolt against the state and for protesting and chanting slogans against state and security forces”.

District Police Officer (DPO) South Waziristan Kifayatullah registered the FIR based on an intelligence report.

Army signals legal action against PTM

Last week, the army signalled taking legal action against the leadership of PTM, stating that “those who are playing in others’ hands, their time is up”.

Speaking at a news conference in Rawalpindi, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor accused PTM of getting funds from Afghanistan’s secret agency, National Directorate of Security (NDS) and India’s Research and Analysis Wing (RAW).

“Those who playing in others hands, their time is up,” said Ghafoor.

Look Army arrested some persons based on intelligence reports, those persons were involved in terrorists activities.

PTM was demanding & protesting for releasing arrested terrorists & other missing persons (those already joined some terrorists organization). PTM started violence/slang languages with Army personnels, when Army tried to stop them, PTM supporters started clash first which resulted some casualties.

Secondly no one keep detainees at checkposts therefore PTM was not protesting at that checkpost for the release of these persons, rather they had planned a protest in the city for their release, (which anyone can do and is not against the law) they were not breaking into any prison facility, but they were stopped at that checkpost from participating into that protest where it get violent.

TTP was a terrorists organization, funded by raw, so if he has demanded for operation against them it mean Mohsin is not on RAW payrol, actually he is working against their interest (RAW's interest). Am I wrong?

No, AFG based twitter handles. As soon as I saw the reports on ARY news that PTM was forcing to release "SUSPECTED TERRORISTS ARRESTED YESTERDAY" I knew it right there that Army was at faulty side here.
How?
It is a norm in FATA, after any blast or attack, army arrest innocent people in the nearby area, it is like if polic starts arresting everyone in Data darbar after the suicide bomb. One of the demands of PTM is to stop terrorizing people after any attack, you can check it in their demand list.
Secondly no one keeps detainees at check post therefore attacking check post for releasing some detainees is illogical. PTM had called for a dharna against these illegal arrests and Army stopped them at this check post from participating in the protest.

Lets say you were at data darbar when the recent suicide attack struck the police vehicle, and police arrests all men at data darbar, will it be lawful?
ok lets give them some advantage of situation and say once in a while is not a bad thing either but what if Police makes it a norm, and starts arresting random people they see after any such attack?
This is what army do after any attack, they arrests random people, torture them if they have any link with the attack and then they releases them. The issue is not they have done it once or twice, the problem is they do it everytime something bad happens to them.

I am a PTI supporter too, but I consider Manzur Pashteen a true patriot, he wants the rule of law, not the rule of some khardemagh Army officer who sees every Pashtun a terrorist.
