Armored Corps Selection Procedure

Hi there, does anyone know the selection procedure of Armored Corps in Pak Army? Do you apply or do you get selected without any idea? (P.S Are there Eyesight Requirements As well?) Thanks For Reading! Cheers!

Officer's selection in armoured corps is throuhg Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) long courses - One first gets selected for Army, undergoes training at PMA and then he may be send to armored corps- The selection standards are same as that of PAM long course.

Before passing out from PMA, give names of 3 units that you want to join, (2 x fighting arms, 1 x supporting arms).
Fighting arm are infantry, Armor etc like 1st Punjab, 13th Lancers.
Supporting arms are Arty, AD etc like 15th SP Arty Regt, 153 Lt Air Defence Regt.

If your dad, grand dad (paternal or maternal and uncles too i think) have served in a PA unit, you can claim it and join it without any issue, otherwise giving names of units doesn't guarantee that you will be allotted those.
