They need to get a long range fighter in the Su-27/30/F-15 class to take the fight to the Falklands, the JF-17 doesn't really offer them much.
Air-refuelling version will be enough.

To go against the Eurofighters stationed on the islands, Thunders aren't going to cut the mustard not to mention the weapons load of the Thunder leaves a lot to be desired for such a role.Air-refuelling version will be enough.
thats what yr hindu head thinks son!dude it looks like Mig 21 with new paint

4 Typhoons would be enough to counter even 20 Thunders considering the fact the Thunders would be heavy on fuel (if they were planning on getting home)There are only 4 typhoons on the Falklands.
Argentina need only buy 2 squadrons(24 aircraft) to establish
air control over Falklands.
Is this a joke?
Argentina can't afford the upgrade costs ... Hence the second hand kfirs...

It would be a repeat of the 1982 Falklands war when the Argentinian Skyhawks and Mirages were flying at the extreme limit of their operational ranges and the UK fighters could could remain on station above the Falklands for far longer with heavy weapons loads.
Air superiority over the Falklands with 2 Sqns of Thunders (or any a/c) is an utter joke, do you think the UK would allow this to stand? The RAF would be there to reclaim the skies from their bases in Cyprus and the UK as soon as the political establishment gave them the go-ahead.
why do You think i want such an upgrade which is costing more than 30-35 million ? When offered with ToT and soft loans? Any idea that too for a nation which will buy second hand fighter for same amounts of JF17
dude it looks like Mig 21 with new paint
Sir,
Aren't you the same guy who was bragging about the 136 rafale deal being done and signed a while ago---and you were strutting around like you were the one signing the contract---and now that your bragging has been smashed to the ground----then---respectfully---I would suggest for you to stay low.

Two to Tango? Argentina Looking Everywhere for New Warplanes
Why ?
They are going to get Kfir block 60. The price is $ 20mil per piece...

they can't afford a $40 million dollar fighter.
they need 24-36 IMO
costs of buying the planes, weapons, and other stuff I would say $2 billion is a fair price. if they can't afford to spend $2 billion then, lol on them.
or maybe they realize JF-17 will simply be outclassed by the British Typhoons and F-35Bs.....
Dude the Typoon is good but not that good.
With the air-refuelling version of the JF-17, tankers could be waiting between Argentine
and the Falklands ready to refuel the returning JF-17s. JF-17s would not be fuel-heavy.
How do you suppose the RAF could get reinforcements in quick enough if the Argentines did a surprise attack with the JF-17s and the dozens of other aircraft they had?
The limited number of Typhoons would be swamped by 50 or more enemy aircraft coming in salvos to bomb the crap out of the key military installations in the Falklands.
Unless the UK also had a Type-45 destroyer in the Falklands, an Argentina that had even 24 JF-17s could now beat the UK.
