We need to understand that events after 1989 worldwide were troublesome, first Gulf war even took place in 1991 and the whole region was militarized and Godhra riots took place in 2002 which was within 2 years of Kargil war and the hijacking of Indian airlines flight IC 814.

It was also when Congress was out of power and the people responsible for Godhara train burning were overwhelming congressi.

Because you celebrated your ancestors conversion and the atrocities they committed on others. Germans are ashamed of their Nazi past. I have never met a Muslim who is ashamed of their dreadful history on the subcontinent.

When Muslims are so full of hubris and unapologetic, you expecting others to forgive and move on is rather unreasonable.

To be proud of your religion irrespective of how x, y, z in history were converted into Islam is certainly dont mean you celebrate the forced conversion or any atrocities committed on Indians in past ..dont forget that these things even Islam don't allow..look at arabs who were pagans/atheist/jews before converted into Islam and now they are proud followers of Islam..what matter for current generation is whether they are content with their beliefs or not and if they are then it dont matter how conversion happened century ago and by the way another propaganda that all conversion were forced and dont tell me that hindu rulers ashoka or in past never commited crimes whne they had their empire

I do not see how they are connected? What has Kargil war or Gulf war got to do with Indian Muslims?

No, Modi was not involved. Gujarat has a history of Muslim-Hindu riots literally every year until 2002, all started by Muslims. The anger and contempt for Muslims in Gujarat was at gut level. So yes about 300 Hindus died and 700 Muslims died. Considering how widespread the riots were and Muslims are a tiny minority, I would say Muslims had a better deal. Again, have some sense of proportion.

After Pokhran II in 1998 sanctions were placed on India but this hasnt stop the proxy war against India. Atal Ji tried to make good relations with Pakistan but we got in return Kargil war.

Nope, this reasoning does not work because Muslims are not just proud of Islam, they are proud of the history of Islam in India which is a shame. There is a big difference. Arabs can afford to forget their past or look in contempt at their past because there are no remnants of their victims in that continent. That is not so in India. Hindus will always be here to remind you of your past and it will be a mark you carry because you choose to by not apologizing.

This is the thing you need to consider when you try to compare between Hinduism and Islam, Hinduism may occasionally produce a bad apple, Islam occasionally produces a good apple. All Hindu empires were benevolent with very few exceptions of violence. This is the opposite of Islamic empires.
