Are you afraid of hijras ?

I have a friend who is extremely afraid of hijras...I saw many men and women who shiver at the sight of hijras.. the other day one of my colleagues was telling that they are a big nuisance in trains in northern and western India... even in my city people are scared of them...I heard people in northern India take blessings from hijras.. is it true?

Why don't police act strict on them? Do hijras in Pakistan also create nuisance?

See hijras are a big nuisance in India...they threaten or insult people if they don't give money when asked...I was told a hijra earns as much as 5000rs a day by begging(actually demanding )..
I just want to know how different people here react when they come across hijras.
