Reading this thread reminds me just how complicated and complex my beloved Pakistan really is. So Punjabis and Pashtuns are the two largest ethnic groups of Pakistan but Punjabis dominate the politics, economy and society, right? But why then is Urdu instead of Punjabi your national language? Can someone please explain?
Punjabi domination is a myth spread by ethnic nationalist parties who know nothing about the history of Pakistan. They use this card to spread fear and separatism among minorities.

Reason why Punjabi isnt our national language is because no one except North Punjabi people Understand it, while Urdu can be understood in every corner of Pakistan.
