pronunciation depends on geographical variations/religion/caste in Kerala...for eg---Sanskrit. word Bhaasha(language) is Bhaasha in standard Kerala Malayalam,Baasa in Lakshadweep Malayalam,Baasey in Kasargod Malayalam and Paasai in paraiyar language (a tribal dialect of Malayalam)..

I gave those examples after listening to some Malayalam news and serials.

Malayalis just like Tamils pronounce ta as da ,tha as dha, pa as ba,cha as ja (panjamam instead of panchamam)... of course ta, tha,pa are pronounced as they are if they occur in the first syllable..
Like paabam(actually it should be paapam)..thyaagam ...charanam.

That is what they believe. But their features are more Tamil-like. I am yet to see a Tamil moor who looks like a Moor. Btw, even the original Moors were not exactly from the Middle East. Arabs and Moors are different ethnicities AFAIK. Moors are north africans and a mix of black Africans and Berbers (who btw are often mistook for Arabs, but in reality are a different ethnicity).

yes,the same thing..Sinhalese are either Buddhists or Christians,manlion is a Muslim,though there are some Muslim families from the deep south of Srilanka speak Sinhalese as their first language..+ there are few Malay speaking Muslims in srilanka,who trace their ancestry to java(But they are very good,peaceful group unlike moor)
