Well its obviously a BIG IF. If they want to setup a company on our land, it will be on our terms, IF they agree, better else we don't care. That said, we may provide some incentives so that it will be easy for their operations. After all they are not giving the proposal just because they love India.

Alas, there are some neighbors of India who don't even get a chance to hear the word IF. Do care about them as well while you get some free time between India bashing. LOL

That is my only issue, if we offer this to Apple, then we have to offer it to all other units.

However this is Apple, the biggest cash surplus company in the world and producing a manufacturing business here can improve India status

They are cash rich company. No need for any sops. Let them figure out the finances. All they are doing is assembling those fancy gadgets that only the top 5% of the populations enjoys. No value addition is being done here.

If this will create an entire eco-system and will spawn a bunch of ancillary units to cater to their needs then we should consider some sops. As of now we don't have high standard parts manufacturing units yet to meet their exacting standards. We should rope in China to create the part manufacturing units here.
