ISLAMABAD: The All Parties Conference (APC) called by the Awami National Party (ANP) to discuss the issue of terrorism in Pakistan has stressed that first priority should be given to the dialogue with the Taliban to establish peace in the country.

A joint statement issued at the end of the conference said that militancy was an issue for the entire country not for just one party. The statement further stressed that the elimination of terrorism was essential to ensure prosperity in Pakistan. Furthermore, the issue of terrorism should be resolved according to the law and constitution of Pakistan.

Representatives of political parties attending the conference were also unanimous in stating that the issue of terrorism should be resolved according to the requirements of national sovereignty.

Speaking to the media, ANP chief Asfandyar Wali Khan said the joint statement would be sent to all institutions of Pakistan. The ANP chief added that Thursday’s conference was the beginning for establishing peace in the country.

Delegations from the PML-N, MQM, PPP, JUI-F, JUP, Pakhtunkhwa MAP, BNP-A, ST, PML-F, Hazara Democratic Party, lawyers’ bodies and parliamentarians from FATA attended the APC. The conference was held two weeks after the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) offered to hold talks with the government if Nawaz Sharif, Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Syed Munawar Hasan acted as guarantors.

Plz everybody pray for peace, we should avail this opportunity and begin recovery for economy

Didn't i tell that ANP is facilitating all terror in NWFP!

Now we can establish hindu connection with TTP, more than before.

Please, reject this fooling of nation... arrest every b$tard ask for negotiations.

When Shia are killed, every non Shia who suspect hand of hindus is called as TTP sympathizer!

I like to hear the opinion of @niaz on this... and remaining Shia tribe.

Please, don't stand passive.. you shall be most vocal here!

There can be no peace with these rented terrorists who take their orders from foreign powers. These rented terrorists are NOT MUSLIMS & they are dying & have been broken by Pak Military, it is because of this they have called for negotiations & are desperate for negotiations, worse than that they have called Anti Pakistani & Anti Military parties for negotiations.

Pakistan Army & the Intel Agencies knows that these rented terrorists are broken, are facing defeat & they are near elimination, so Pakistan Army will not like to see these corrupt negotiations because Pak Military have lost so many soldiers & these talks will only give these rented terrorists time to regroup & grow in number, this is unacceptable for Pak Army. INSHAALLAH these rented terrorists will be crushed completely.

You have said it all bats. The three corrupt parties who are involved in negotiation have their own terrorist groups. Pak Military is already tired of all this crap & soon INSHAALLAH they will come out to clean Pakistan once & for all.

There is no other option than talks with the Taliban Pakistan will have to talk to the Taliban other wise the day USA runs away from Afghanistan and if are still attacking TTP guys there are high chances than Afghan Taliban than join TTP and it will complete disaster for Pakistan

Zarvan, you will be thrilled no doubt to learn that APC has offered talks to TTP, if TTP accept Pakistani law and constitution - isn't that good news

I don't get it - so do you want them t talk or not? your earlier post suggested that you wanted them to talk, and now that they have decided to talk, that is say, now that they have political backing, you are not pleased.

As for beloved India, yes, more fish to fry, but one thing at a time.
