Anyone bought themselves a 2 wheeled self-balancing electric scooter?

My brother in law won this mini-segway after sharing a link on instagram. I always thought that was fake and cheap way of publicity but he actually won this segway after sharing a post on instagram.

I tried to use it one day but I was wearing slippers and salwar kameez at that time so it wasn't so easy to operate... but my brother in law has managed to learn it and it has become part of his life... He is around 14-15 years old I think

I don't see anybody using this to get to school or work. It is not practical because it can't ride up pavements. If you want to make it your hobby and use it in the park/garden that is a different topic. Personally if I wanted to look goofy I would try roller skates.
