Any Guess, who are going to be candidates for next President of India?

After retiring in american politics, obama will migrate to india and make india a supapowa.

You forgot you are not posting from your trolling account opruh but from your other account oproh.

I think, this is a bit too early, but I think by 2017 NDA will have majority in RS or so according to some political pundits. Now President PranabDa's tenure is going to end on 25th July 2017. So any guess as to who should stand for next President and why(Selection or Election)? Your choice please!! Or If NDA will still be in a minority in RS, how the game will be played out?

The person should maintain neutrality and should work according to constitution.

Subramaniam Swamy has a mission in LIFE
to Harass the Gandhis ; He can not do that as a President

He will be bored in the Rashtrapati Bhavan
He's a loudmouth and no statesmen. The role of the President is almost entirely ceremonial and requires a certain calibre of person, President Mukarjee (and all Indian presidents in recent times) have conducted themselves well in office- dignified and dutiful.

If only there could be another Kalam, I didn't know a great deal about him before his passing (to my shame) but having read a lot of his quotes and about how he conducted himself I truly cannot imagine a greater ambassador for India.

+ unviable for a number of reasons but I think Dr MMS would be an excellent President.

I think Amitabh Bachan is decent choice, he's very patriotic n everyone around the world respects him.
No actors or any such "celebrity"- this would only cheapen the office. Politicians/technocrats should be the candidates.

i think NaMo wants someone like LK Advani for president but advani ji is too old so i think after ritirment he just might propose shri A K doval for president :coffee:
Mr Doval won't take the job if it means (which it would) giving up the post as NSA. Doval is the best man for that job- by far, his talents would be supremely wasted in a ceremonial position.
