What's new

Any enemy of China is an enemy of Pakistan: Pakistan Army Chief Gen Raheel Sharif

Pakistan is soo insecure that it always needs a Godfather. God alone is not sufficient :coffee:. What the Army chief told is just "worship/offering " towards the Godfather.

Some countries follow Binary rules like computer in defining foreign policies either animosity or feet licking. No idea , that there lies infinite space between two extremes

That's the thing , my friend, there are some folks that are trying to drive a wedge between the Pakistani-Japanese Brotherhood because a supposition that China-Pakistan and Japan-India rapproachment. Only folks that are that dim would think that way, and fail to see that the relationship Japan has with Pakistan is all inclusive. In fact, Japan has a policy of 'Omnidirectionality' with South Asian countries that includes Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan.

Centrifugal to this Omnidirectionality is Japanese abiding to the notion of non-interference in the internal affairs of these nations, our partner states. This has long been truth, and will remain so for the indefinite future. Japan has no partiality here, we value our relationship with South Asia completely and work with each of the countries in the region from the grassroots level such as civil engagement, health initiative partnerships, farming and agricultural initiatives, to the higher national polity level such as energy security initiatives, infrastructure planning and delivering.

Japan has no 'Divide Et Impera' agenda in South Asia because the region (South Asia) is a new frontier for Japan in terms of trade and development. As I said before and as what Japanese academia have purported plenty of times, the engines of growth in Asia will be in South Asia. A region that is home to over 1.6 Billion people (nearing 1.7 billion).

You can bet that Japan will be an ACTIVE partner in the development of South Asia , for sure !!

2 years ago when I was returning from my University(Back then i used public Transport) i met this Japanese Tourist and we had a great Chat I accompanied him throughout and I told him the same thing what @Atanz has said.
we were spotting cars on the Roads and every car Turned out to be Japanese and he said something very Smart "This is how we Conquered the world in this day and age,we didnt really attacked any nation but our Automobiles and electronics are in every country I visited and Pakistan is the 19th country I visited"
I asked him what was his favorite country of all 19 and he said Namibia. He seemed to have a liking for those wild animals and African terrain.
however he said that Pakistani's are one of the nicest people he came across and I tried to be extra nice.He said that before I planned to visit Pakistan I was told not to visit due to security situation but the reality is in contrast and I was shocked to see so much great stuff that I just didnt expect.(He recently was returning from Taxilla after checking Stupas of Indus Valley civilization and Taxilla Museum)

He was one of the nicest guys I met and that really did create a great Perception on My mind about Japan eventhough Japan and Germany Always have been my favorite countries.
and after reading your previous Reply It only makes me Glad how good the Japanese think about Us.

May the Friendships and the Relations Prosper !

Lool what if Turkey keeps helping its 'opperessed' uygurs brethrens in China and sponsoring them escape chinese authorities or better still arm them to return and fight to liberate their 'homeland' Xijiang from the hans, and China tired of Turkish meddling decides to retaliate, will Pakistan also consider Turkey as de facto ennemy?
Guess China might become the ennemy instead. :D
aaaanddd Mikey is back with a bang.

Absolutely true, and completely validated by use of the word(s)
'Any enemy of China'

I see @Nihonjin1051 is going to maintain strategic silence on this:P

u mad bro?
sour grapes?

Pakistan would benefit from diversification in relationships rather
Turkey makes distinction between politics and economics. Pakistan should follow the same policy of balancing relationships in the region. China's aggressive policies in the region and against the smaller neighbors won't benefit Pakistan. It should stay out of it. China is a stagnating economy while its population in large lives in abject poverty. Its economy won't grow for the coming decades. The time will prove that Pakistan would have benefitted from being more neutral in the region instead of its current position. At the end nobody wants to be on the loosing team.

Hello, your advices are well appreciated,
however lemme add something to what you said at the last part of your comment.
No the Chinese Economy is Growing and shall keep on growing in coming decades, perhaps you really need to get updated on news lately.
secondly Time has proved something opposite instead,Since the relations with China started in 60's they only boomed and Pakistan only benefited in every possible way.

let the facts and the actual events that did happen speak instead.

Thank you for your concern though, happy to see you guys doing well in relations with other countries.
keep up the good work.

Thank u,Pakistan :D

Oh Bhai

you are reading too much. Pakistanis have no issue with far east asian stuff.

Gen Raheel's statement is strictly from our region's perspective. you and some of the other Bahratis are mischievously extrapolating things far far beyond the scope of his words.

Sorry to see.,

Yes pakistan is a regional power which has considerably less effect on countries as far as Japan (and no amenities towards it too) everyone knows that but people are extrapolating things because scope of his words is lot more than u want to see. Or u think he wanted to say that "any enemy of China is a enemy of Pakistan (only if Pakistan considers it to be enemy too )
And discussing this is not wrong in any sense especially when
1 China and Russia has already declared they will join hands in future conflicts to counter US.
2 Abe wants to wants to change Japan's pacifist nature by changing article 9
Constitutional change necessary to protect Japanese citizens: Abe | The Japan Times
3 US has also declared that it will defend japan from any foreign aggressor.
Obama pledges support to Japan in China dispute — RT News

And in the middle of this your gen came up with this statement so is it wrong to see this possible scenario ?
