The secular desire to send Hindus to the lion's den as fodder is an old one. Not surprised. First kick them out, then humiliate and throw out of the film community and then throw them out of the country.

Or, maybe he should stick with acting. I hate it when actors tries to make forays into politics and ruins both for them and us.

Every time you commit a mindless act of terrorism, I die a little. Truth be told, I have been dying quite often of late; little by little.

I have died when bombs go off in civilian areas, when bystanders are held hostage, when airlines are hijacked, when defenceless people are killed and when the unarmed are sold as slaves.

But today, when you butchered over 130 children in cold blood in a school in Peshawar, I fear there is nothing left in me. I don’t know what your objective was, but you have certainly reduced me to a dead man walking.

What tenet of religiosity can you quote to justify such slaughtering of children? What twisted perception of which faith can you claim to adhere to? Does it require bravery to shoot barefaced children, innocents who do not understand the concept of conflict, much less the evil face of terrorism?

Killing children cannot be an act of faith in any religion. According to early reports, you are the same monsters who tried to kill Malala Yousufzai on October 9, 2012.

You did not kill her; her bravery won her the Noble Prizeearlier this month.

Words cannot adequately despise the monstrosity which you have committed. True, there have been greater pogroms in history such as Lidice, Dachau, the purges of Stalin, the Cultural Revolution of Mao, the killing fields of Cambodia. But these were political movements or results of conflict.

Pak envoy offers visa to Anupam Kher
Pakistan High Commissioner Abdul Basit has called up Anupam Kher and offered him a visa to travel to that country if he has applied for the same but the actor declined the offer, saying he has already taken up other assignments on the scheduled dates.

Pakistan High Commission officials said Mr. Basit had called up Kher on Tuesday after the actor said he was denied visa to attend the Karachi Literary Festival while 17 others were issued the travel document.

Mr. Basit on Wednesday tweeted, “@AnupamPkher you are always welcome Sir. You are a great artiste; we respect and admire you.”

Replying to Mr. Basit, Kher said, “Thank you Mr. @abasitpak1 for your call & offering me visa to visit Karachi. I appreciate it. Unfortunately i’ve given away those dates now.”

In another tweet last night, the Pakistani envoy had said, “@AnupamPkher sorry Sir I don’t know who told you about this so-called NoC, we are still to receive your visa application and passport.”

Kher has been denied visa by the Pakistan government to attend the Karachi Literary Festival, prompting him to suggest that the decision may have been influenced by his stand on the issue of Kashmiri Pandits and his support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“Dear @abasitpak1, Reality remains that Pak Interior Ministry refused to grant NOC for my visa. 17 others invited also didn’t apply for visa,” Kher said in a tweet last night, adding that he has been denied a Pakistani visa for the third time. He was one of the 18 Indians invited to the four-day Karachi Literature Fest starting Friday by the organisers and all of them including senior Congress leader Salman Khurshid and actor Nandita Das, but excluding the actor were granted the visa.

The Pakistan High Commission in Delhi had said Kher had never submitted visa application and so the question of issuing or denying him visa does not arise.

Ameena Syed, the spokesperson for the KLF, had told PTI in Karachi that they had been advised by the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi to tell Kher not to submit a visa application as he would not be issued one.
