Sponsorship i think not required but he must have invitation letter or any strong reason to visit. There is probably a mix up if he really want to visit he must handed over visa application submission receipt to Pakistani high commission he will definitely get visa. If Pakistani embassy or commission refused or denied they must issue a statement why they denied visa to him or at least they stay quite but in that case they issued proper official statement and Mr. Kher should contact them.

Yeah. But it's not his politics as such, he really is coming across as a morn. Just imagine- he makes a biiiigggg deal of how the awards have become a joke and not merit oriented, especially the Padma awards- and then he gets one just after leading efforts to support modi. The worst was is support of Salman Khan after the court released him. He should have just kept quiet.

Again, it was probably a mix up of the paper work. These things happen, hell, it happened to a friend of mine, who wanted to vacation in Pakistan.

He was told to reapply, but the next day, he got a call saying that he didn't have to. They found the paper work.

Those application rejected because of incomplete paper work and you know for every Sikh pilgrimage visa application Pakistani embassy need clearance from India authorities and many application rejected by Indian authority because they refuse to give clearance.

Pakistan and India both Govts can't issue visas without clearance which they sought internally as per mutual agreement.
