Anti-China writers are not Anglo-Saxons

Is there still an oldie, goodie American dream?

Here is an interesting article which may shed some light on why anti-China writers are not Anglo-Saxons. Those people who had their American dream shattered would blame China as the causation for their hardship and predicament. Some writers, being opportunistic, would utilize this sentiment to get instant fame and popularity by attacking China viciously.

You are wrong. Anglo-Saxons are the most secular, next to Chinese. Muslims are the most religious, followed by Catholic. Then Christian, Buddists and then Anglo-Saxons. In Anglo-Saxons, there are almost no political parties associated with religions, while in German, you still have Christians parties. In United States, Bible is just treated as Confucian books. You can say damn god easily. Protestants were coming out of renaissance, the reform of Christians and the uprising against Catholic.

Anglo-Saxons are the most secular which allow them to become the best industrial powers. Chinese and east Asian civilizations are also secular, which allow east Asian to catch up. Industrialization/Science and Region are simply opposite.

lol......Are you for real?

You do know Anglo-Saxons was rule by Protestant Church during the English Reformation. Again, White does not equal to Anglo-Saxons, Anglo Saxon is the Germanic Tribe that originated in Southern England during 5th Century, and you are wrong, Anglo-Saxon are actually credited as Re-establishment of Christianity in Continental Europe

The United States are Secular, the people in the United States are secular, but people in the United States are not Anglo-Saxons.

Geez....

When we talk Anglo-Saxons now, mostly it refers to Anglo-Saxons

Anglo-Saxons re-establishment of Christianity is similar to Qing's establishment a Confucian dynasty. Machu's execution of Confucian is better than most of Han Chinese dynasties. But they also lead the renaissance and industrial revolution. When we talk about Anglo-Saxons now, I think that we usually refer to whites of origin from England, Scotland, German, Ireland etc. United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Britains are countries established by Anglo-Saxons now. Industrial revolution made Anglo-Saxon the most secular groups in the Western civilization. WASP is the foundation of American politics.

The high religious rate in United states compared to other Anglo-Saxon countries are due the high percentage of Latinos and Blacks population.

HaHa, China and Japan are at the bottom.
large

That's an advantage and we must keep that way. Just separate religion from public life; cherish spirituality if you wish, but do not let religion to be politicized (missionarism, Papacy, Khaliphate, etc) and materialized (televangelism etc).

On the subject, the quality of one's enemy and competitor reflects one's own quality, as well.

Therefore I am not particularly sorry about the hostility from the US or competition from Japan and South Korea. China needs to attract more and more good quality enemies and competitors.

.
My advice: Education is the tool that will set you free. :)

Seize it.
That's why Confucian is so great. He knew this more than 2500 years ago and started teaching to civilians at that time. All East Asians know the importance of Education. This allowed East Asia to adapt to industrialization within 100 years. East Asia faced Industrial power Britain in 1840 and now most East Asian countries have industrial powers. Muslims faced European Powers much earlier and still by now they do not know how to do industrialization.

I agree with you, tho I believe religion (or spirituality) has a role for personal and inner psychological growth even mood and health benefits (the role of prayer is associated with faster healing rates in hospitalized patients), but religious points of views should be kept to one self , or at least shared only in a gathering of like minded folks in a religious building. There should be separation of state politics from religion, the two should never be mixed, unless religious customs are associated with state symbolism.

ABSOLUTELY agree with you 100%.

Confucian helped East Asian staying away from religious fundamentalism. In East Asia, no religious could gain political powers.

Agreed. I think religion is important on the personal level, spirituality and spiritual life has its customs , and in fact native East Asian religion such as Shinto, Daoism actually synergizes with politics because the core principles focus on the harmony of nature, and it actually supports Confucian social values, which is actually state-growth oriented. Obeisance to family elders, filial piety, obeiscance to the state, respect for the rule of law, and stressing order and harmony (maintenance of the forces of Ying and Yang in equality) and the positive Ki (Qi).

The most important parts of the religions is to teach human beings how to face unknown, such as unfamiliar people, unknown futures, hardships. Bible, Kuran and Confucians books can give you very good answers. That's why they can lead to great civilizations.
But for religious fundamentalists, they will stop you from exploring those unknown because this may challenge their political powers. That's why I strongly object to follow bibles in Churches and Kurans in mosques because those priests or Ahong have their political wills. For example. the catholic pope wants to be a living god.

In almost all religions, god is created to help you through unknown but also stop you from exploring unknown. The more unknown, the greater the god.

That's why Islam fundamentalists like to destroy schools because school education can decrease the greatness of Allah through the explanation of many unknown.

Faith in whatever religious philosophy is for the individual level, and i suppose the truth that the faith practitioner has helps their performance in life, a defense against depression, pain, negative challenges, thus can be a support system. I do agree with you that the moment that faith is used to harm others, it has already transitioned itself from a personal faith level to one that is politically motivated. In the end, faith practice or spiritual life exercises should be kept personal , in the home or at certain faith houses.

It should not be used to proselytize as that tends to cause indifference.

So are the catholic popes They hate science because science keeps turning many unknown to known.

Usually, my friend, these fundamentalists have a poor understanding in Islam. In fact if one studies Islam, the religion of Islam does not counter science, rather, it encourages science exploration. It is usually the political imams or 'religious leaders' in Muslim dominant countries that have applied their own points of views during their time in the pulpit, and thus project their own political views to the listeners.

Better the Muslim that has a personal relationship with the Divine, and does not require the interpretation of politically motivated clerics.

Throughout history, yes, the Catholic church had persecuted science and scientists for their challenging of catholic doctrine and understanding of reality, at the time. For example Galileo who was chastised for countering the church teachings of the earth being the center of the universe, when in reality, that was not so. This period of history in christianity can be considered the 'Winter of their discontent', where theological backwardness dominated social and political circles. Fortunately, pragmatism and the age of thought, led to the infusion of science and reality constructivism in european thinkers. This is what we refer to now as the genesis of the 'Age of European Enlightenment'.

Mankind, in the end, is a progressive animal, and he marches forward towards knowledge and development. Let us appreciate the dawn of spring and the end of the winter of discontent. Hopefully certain areas of the world can share and bask in this dawn of spring, my friend. :)
