Military paper pushers and deskriders (who do make up a sizable portion of modern armed forces) are not armed either....but they are still not civilians. Razakars were civilian volunteers...ansars are a institution that under control of the Home Ministry during peace and Defence Ministry during war...Hypothetically if Bangaldesh went to war with Myanmar and certain Burmese local civilians wanted to help out(for whatever reason) they would be like Razakars...but not Ansars.

They are the world's largest paramilitary force...nobody is hiding that fact of how many of them are armed.They are trained as other paramilitary forces...and Bangladesh certainly has the financial,technical and human resources to arm all of them when necessary (we are not at war...not going to war anytime in the foreseeable future and even if we do we still have the regular army..after all of that comest the Ansars)...I don't think anybody would question that.

Summery:Bangladesh Ansaar and VDP forces personnel strength crossed 6.1 million.As a single paramilitary forces, it is the largest in the world.Said by the chief of Ansaar and VDP forces, Major General Mizanur Rahman.This forces are performing a crucial role in maintaining internal security.They are now getting full military training.They are being preferentially recruited in other forces such as RAB, BGB etc.They are also being used to the services of armed forces.They are performing a crucial role in maintaining the security of railways and other vital installations.There is a bright opportunity to send them overseas as a trained manpower.
