If it escalate to war, It will create a havoc on India's chickens neck.
Chicken's neck (Shiliguri Corridor) has vital rail, road, water and power etc. links for India, cutting those off will isolate seven sister states.
on the contrary, targets on Chinese side that can cause pain are far away from India's border.
India will have to go for a naval blockade with china in case of an attack on chicken's neck.
Chinese submarines operating in Indian Ocean and Bay of Bengal will be the biggest threat for such a blockade.
Maoist groups operating inside India will be another threat, these groups can go for different sabotage targeting Indian economy.

China is trying to build the road in disputed territory which belongs to tiny Bhutan.And they want to bully it.
You really think , India will not take any counter action if such fantasy scenario is manifested. Remember hitting back doesn't need to be on the same area , it could anyplace of our choosing.

taking Bangladesh wont help much, because India has concentrated most of the links through siliguri corridor. furthermore, if Bangladesh do not cooperate, It will only increase nightmare for India

Two things.
First - In a long war of attrition - PR China has a clear edge. But in a border clash - India and PR China are almost equal.
Secondly - I am not sure the war mongering is done only by a small section of the state controlled media networks etc or not. The public - as far as I can see are least bothered about some Bhutanese uninhabited village.
