When the young generation of Tamil Nadu came together to fight against Jallikattu, I felt proud for showing such a guts.
I doubt with the reason stated by the protesters as I have witness agricultural lands around city outskirts are been sold cheaply to real estate for decades in Tamil Nadu. IMO the majority of the impact to agriculture comes from urbanisation, sand mining and improper water management.
But regarding this methane issue, I couldn't find any scientific data to support the claims shared. If someone can share in this forum would be grateful. If it is going to cause damage to agriculture then I must be addressed.
If the raised concern is true, then I question why the sane people of Tamil Nadu couldn't show such a unity to fight against the political leaders who signed this? People of Tamil Nadu failed to select good visionary leaders for the state.
Next time don't sell you vote and vote for the right leader.
To those who blame the present central government or barking about regional pseudo-nationalism, the deal was approved by then Congress- DMK (LTTE sympathizer) government.
