South Punjab has a very strong case for a province. They were never part of punjab and dont like to be reffered as punjabis. Even the core people of Pothwar region dont call them selves as punjabi and when talkeing about the central punjab regions say "this is how it is in Punjab"(Punjab mai aisa hota hai). I think it should be done.

If that is the case then maybe Balochistan should also be broken down because people of Northern Balochistan dont call themselves Baloch but call themselves Pukhtuns, and maybe Khyber Pakhtunkhwa should also be broken down because people of eastern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa dont call themselves Pukhtuns but call themselves Hazaras (Hindko speaking), and maybe Sindh should also be broken down because many people in Karachi and Hyderabad dont call themselves Sindhis but call themselves MQM-lovers Mohajirs (Urdu speaking), oh wait they shouldnt have any say because they immigrated to Sindh just 63 years ago.

Get over your Punjabi-phobia. Punjab is here to stay, without Punjab all of Pakistan would starve to death.

Its the federal government that is in charge of making equal opportunities for all provinces. Punjab government governs only Punjab not Balochistan or any other province, its the federal government that should treat all provinces of Pakistan equally, and last I checked the President of Pakistan is from SIndh not Punjab.

i think you over looked the term quota system i mentioned in my post if NOT aware than enlighten your self before coming up with expert opinion lastly stop rubbing every thing on federal govt they have been there for only 3 whilst these medevil system are implemented since long,

as long as the system provides equal opportunities to all its good to divide and create new provinces there is no harm in that , as for your usual mohajir phobia hear it again its because of these mohajirs this country came into being , if you dont like them then move into any of the neighboring countries because your type is much in demand there these days.

again a paranoid answer , please read again the thread is about creating more provinces in Punjab also remember pakistanis pay for goods and services so no one is doing a favour every one is doing there job.

I am all for a new province but division should be not based on language rather it should be done considering the administrative pov right now balochistan is neglected and so is kp in my opnion

Enlighten yourself please before making your pathetic accusations on Punjab.

Punjab also has many problems as other provinces of Pakistan. There is also a lot of poverty in Northern/Central Punjab. If you think we eat all the money and leave other provinces with nothing you are mistaken. Pakistan is an agricultural country, much of agriculture is grown in Punjab because of Punjab's very fertile land so Punjab benefits. Balochistan might not be blessed with agricultural growth like Punjab but it has potentials in other areas. For example, build Gwadar Port and then Balochistan and people of Balochistan benefits. Just like the ports in Karachi are benefiting people of Sindh.

Breaking down provinces will only make people of the provinces angry and more disunity in Pakistan, but you would love that wont you. After all you are a MQM supporter.

You guys have no idea of what kind of mafia-ism is going on. Four provinces just tell you the strong grip of army, intelligence officers, feudal lords and politicians.

You guys need at least 5 more provinces and those provinces WILL NOT be based on ethnicity. Saying that Norther belt of Baloch are Pahstoons; hence, giving them a separate province is not a good idea. New provinces should be made by looking at the population, resources etc

I will say it again, the Punjabi shair, chor shareefs will not be called punjabi shair if more provinces were to be made. Anyways, we need more provinces in order to prosper.

Any Pakistani with even a little pride towards its ethnic group will not support the idea of their province being broken down. Most Baloch will not support the breaking of Balochistan, most Pukhtuns will not support the breaking of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, most Sindhis will not support the breaking of Sindh, and most Punjabis will not support the breaking of Punjab. Yes minorities in these province such as Hazaras (Hindko-speaking), Mohajirs (Urdu-speaking), and Southern Punjabis (Saraiki-speaking) might support the idea but not those who make majority in these provinces. And you dont want to make the majority angry.

Give me the facts sir. Until now, those sindhis, those angry balochis, those obese punjabi etc have achieved nothing. We need more provinces--which will create more assemblies, resources will be efficiently used/produced, government will have less people to feed and take care of, more local jobs etc etc

Indeed, we need more provinces to get rid of feudalism/sardarism/militarism---On top of that, government will have less people to feed and the social structure of the society will strengthen.
