Another Landmark for PIA under Military Junta Rule

All the decisions taken in its short reign point to lack of populism. Removing Electricity subsidies, petrol subsidies, getting rid of foreign currency smugglers at gunpoint. This ain't golden age, but surely more rational than before.

Pakistan is not an honest actor. They are cooking their books their and trying to demonstrate to foreign financial lenders (of last resort) that they are closing loopholes. The facts on the ground still are that Pakistan is one of the world's most corrupt countries.

Pakistan continues to struggle with political instability, weak institutions, and a lack of transparency, which have contributed to its difficulties in providing essential services to its citizens.

Fact is, Pakistan is a failed banana republic of Faujistan!

May be, but a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. May be some investor or lender may see this as the emergence of a green shoot in an otherwise desert landscape.

Pakistan takes one step forward and five steps backwards.

It's all by design though...

Pakistan needs to be an undesirable place to live for it's citizens so they can immigrate to other nations for increased remittances. This is by design by the pakistani establishment. They want people to run a way from the hell-hole that is pakistan.

Pakistan needs to demonstrate desperation to global lenders of last resort (i.e. IMF) so they can continue the circular debt scheme. This is by design by the pakistani establishment. They want the global establishment to be wary of a failed nuclear state with crazy mullahs. That is why the pakistani establishment has these elements on their leash.

Cockpit crew as well as technical crew are already leaving PIA, They know privatisation is the way to go if 1 billion use can't be invested by GOP at this time. All these political appointments in non tech cadre are coming back to bite in arse.

EASA is also undermining our whole aviation sector on purpose but people won't talk about that. We should have been flying to EU since last year December but for no flipping reason our profitable revenue stream is being cut on purpose by EASA cunts

Thanks to PTI, PIA is banned to operate in profitable routes like UK and Europe.

Only problem is you are wrong

1- Pakistan never had any subsidies on oil
It infact charged 17% slaes tax and additional 20 levy. Ik just stopped the levy

2- smuggling is there because economy is in shatters

3- in ward smuggling is due to banking issues that DIDN'T EXIST A YEAR ago and now exist because of inefficiencies

4- there is nothing rational about what's happening now..not even a single thing

Like how is it rational to slab a 40,000 fix tax on electricity bills on everyone?? When IMF is saying we didn't even ask for it we want taxation on services and personal sale tax which govt refuses to do to protect it specific elite

So my advise please go read something

How do they keep getting these loans ? Amazing.
Govt of Pakistan has an unlimited credit 💳

Yes PTi asked for people without a license to operate airplane not PDM/PPPP

Imagine if a plan crashed like one in Karachi (when the guy literally forgot to get the landing gear down) in Europe what would have happened to Pakistan

Reducing tax on an imported commodity when the country is more than bankrupt both domestically and on foreign currency, is subsidizing. It needlessly lowers revenues (increasing the need for further borrowing by debt), promotes increase in use for private transport, which is wasteful. If anything, in times of belt tightening, they should increase the taxes on petrol and may be use the funds to help the poor hurt by inflation by increasing supply of cheap flour.

No amount of poverty can justify illegality. Also, I don't think it is the poor who are doing foreign currency smuggling.

That seems to the government's desperate attempt to recoup some money and retire a bit of the circular debt. It is hard to blame a month-old government for the sins of multiple generations of populism. If they charged fully loaded electricity costs from the beginning, they wouldn't be forced to send people to the poorhouse now.

One thing PTI folks and Indians agree on.

That is to malign me as a Indian.

PTI traitors have always been and will always be in bed with the Indians.
Sir sheir aik wari feer

With you. Nawaz sharif is good for overseas Pakistanis not sure why they dislike him.

You probably the only person in world who thinks direct taxing the poor is productive way to run a country

Well kudos to you for being bold
