Another Female Pilot Gears up for Combat

This is so stupid. Its should be on merit not genderb

It is. If you are hiring engineers for short tenor then it makes more sense to also hire women for SSC in order to utilize their best years during their 20s (before they wish to start a family and take a break).

Otherwise the unis need to reduce the intake in the engineering program for the time being considering not many employment opportunities available here in engg (except for the few in govt. defense sector).

Currently, there's a programme running on British ITV called ''Fighter Pilot, The Real Top Gun'', amongst the trainees is also a female pilot and despite Western airforces having simulators and all other ground-based facilities, it shows how she finds it difficult to handle even a Hawk trainer.

Its rather unfortunate - if that is true.

There are female pilots in the USAF that are part of the Aggressor Squadron at Red Flag. I fail to understand how our female Pilots are less capable than the males.

If they've passed the course, they should be put on the JF-17B after doing their hours on the F-7.
Because if you look at their females they have accepted that there is no difference in physical standards between males and females when it comes to the job and they'll give 120% effort to reach their goals. A lot of them are built like athletes. Not to mention they've inducted females a lot longer and in a far more serious way. They even got USAF Thunderbirds who have had female demo pilots and got one currently flying now as their solo lead. Motivation is a major key factor AND peers support as well.

And now she flies the Eurofighter Typhoon on exchange with the RAF, they show that in the final episode. The show ends with her excelling well. Not to mention she was a prior Royal Navy helicopter pilot. When it comes to training PAF Academy has done well, and I quote this on record from a number of those who have flown at RAF Valley and PAF Risalpur. Less to do with training and more to do with the quality of individuals being recruited.

Do all males and females give equal physical tests to enter airforce?

she finds it difficult to handle even a Hawk trainer.
Compared to her male counterparts?

Nope not the same to enter. But to qualify as pilots they have to meet the same physical standards.

Compared to her male counterparts she still ended up graduating and currently flying the Typhoon. They didn't show a number of males got suspended on the Hawk, so she had it difficult but enough to finish the course.

Yes although she wanted to go on F-35 like the rest of them.
I think we discussed this before how the PAF and USAF fair in their averages.

UK - Air International - November - 1991

" the average PAF pilot is almost certainly possessed of superior skills when compared with, say, an average American pilot. As to those who are rated above average, they compare favorably to the very best "

Great quote from the early 90s. And I stand with that for biased reasons. Would like to know what it is today, and a more reasonable one. I'm always in favour of PAF but criticism is essential too, and that's a mentality you'd only be able to progress ahead....a Viper fellow told me that.

She's going in a year or so to move to F-35Bs. Typhoon is still very challenging to fly and master.

That general is something else. Her husband stopped flying but she carried on with the air force.

she looks like a copilot.

Nope. That's an F-7PG canopy not an FT-7 canopy. You can almost make out the HUD's reflection in her helmet visor.

Not an F7 pg canopy ...look at the bar above her head.

None of PAF jets have such a metal bar above in the canopy. The canopy is open.

That is indeed an F-7PG canopy. And it's clearly shut and in locked position. That "bar" is the explosives strip to split the canopy in case of ejection. You can clearly see it in the below pictures.

That strip isn't present on every F-7PG. I'd guess it's due to a difference in the ejection seats being used.
