Justice should go both ways.

Doctors should also have the right to refuse patients, work for 8 hours with 1 hour lunch breaks and pay that will commensurate with their education.

A Mediocre engineer makes more money than an qualified doctor in India. Medicine is not a chose of profession for most people who aspire for a better life. Its only for the rich who aspire for respect.

Hospitals keep doctors on retainers and take commission on the and hold them responsible for empty beds and non performance of tests. Doctors are incentivised by the entire system to become corrupt or remain poor and unemployed.

Poor doctors have a miserable life which is why Indian parents push their kids into medicine whether they like it or not. Just so their kids can be poor, over worked, underpaid little saints.

One of my junior's hand was broken after he referred a case to higher center as enough medical instruments not available locally and the patient died on the way. Don't blame the doctors all the time, if you hate us so much don't come to us.
Ppl talk about rude doctors, I experience rude relatives all the time, who nag us all the time, we see 50 patients in a 5 hour shift and ppl expect us to see more. Last week I did 100+ hrs duty. Try doing that and then blame.

nurses ask money just to give injection, bloodbanks ask money to give blood... doctors sell samples in hospitals.. refer patients to their own clinic or shop they have tie up with...
nobody is angel here.
even lower middle class people avoid govt hospital now a days.. if it is a serious issue.

I would love to see ppl saying that to a police officer that your salary is tax payers money so serve us or get bitten. Ppl don't even say that to a lowly clerk in government office. So ppl ask for degree of doctors before beating to know that he paid for his mbbs or he had a government seat?

i did not say doctors should be beaten... I say its understandable why somebody will lose mind in some situation... clerks are not dealing with life and death...
I was replying to your post which said people should not come to see doctors if they hate doctors.. well if I am poor I have no other option than to see a govt doctor... even if he/she is an ****ole.

If understandable is the word everyone can beat anyone and later say that is it understandable. I know the junior that got beaten, very good guy, never took a paisa from anyone. So no, it's not understandable.

...and it is funny how these same @$$holes learn to behave the minute they step abroad. Indian doctors become the nicest ever about two years after arriving in the US or UK.

The @ssholism is reserved for Indians in India because here they get away with it.

BTW high time we ask that clerks and policeman funded by our tax money actually work for us too.!
