People have no idea what lengths military is going to get spare parts that folks are not selling us(thanks to obama and our local actors ).. why we had to go Brazil? He has to keep the carrot dangling infront of the hyenas till they jump on to it..
What needs to be assured is the the ECP hammers politicians before next elections who are either convicted or have ongoing corruption cases..

Don't mean to be rude but corruption has increased in Pakistan by every indicator used by organisations monitoring financial transparency.

Pakistan cannot overcome Indian soft power in such organizations.

I don't even want to ask why Bajwa would be running FBR but IMF should ask its own employee Reza Baqer what has he done.

Just get on the list and use the time to bring in reforms.

These things span for 2 3 political terms for countrywide administrations for colonial plagued nation states.

I have no idea what carrot and who the donkey is but zero progress has been made on foreign funding cases.

Imran Khan was strong advocate of this kind of behavior with the likes of Mulah Fazalullah, Hakim ullah Mehsud , Ehsan ullah Ehsan etc. When government finally accepted the demand of Imran Khan, TTP nominate IK himself to tell Pakistan about what good they done to Pakistan as they don't remember anything they have done for betterment of Pakistan.

Agree. It always works this way. Only some serving or retired officer can explain to me why their ex-chiefs and other retired generals, who at one time or another were clearly guilty of illegal and unconstitutional acts, are actively defended by the army? Surely a guy like Musharraf who used the army to commit Kargil blunder, and then committed multiple undeniable acts of high treason defined under article 6 for his own personal benefit, why that guy is defended by the army?? Why does ISPR issue petulant statements, expressing disappointment on court ruling of an open and shut case, who are they to say anything?

And any trial or accountability that does happen, only happens a decade or two after the fact, enough time for the old guard to step out and the new to replace the old. Case in point, the 1990 election rigging case was finally ruled on in 2012, Musharraf's verdict was given in 2019 etc. If that pattern is remotely accurate or suggestive, then we'll see what happened in 2011 come out some time around 2030, what happened around 2014-15 come out after the mid 2030s, and if anything is to be said about today and the previous elections, it might be around 2040.

For those of you who don't know the facts. Gen. Zia the worst dictator in Pakistan's history selected a then unknown Nawaz as governor of Punjab and then Gen. Gillani cobbled up a manufactured party to roll back PPP which back then in 1980s was a force to be reckoned with. Spawned, nurtured and cooked by a illigitimate dictator this criminal today has the gumption to call IK 'selected' when we all know IK began his politcal journey in 1996 and spent 22 long years in the wilderness. Yet -

• 22 years journey and struggle is "selected"
• phone call from dictator "hello Nawaz it is youuuuuuu" is demoracy.

Also why are courts not doing trial against Kayani and Zardari who allowed US forces to come inside Abbotabad and malign Pakistan's image globally. These two things (Drones and Abbotabad attacks) are million billion times greater forms of treason than removing a few judges.

Zardari and civilian leadership were not responsible for hosting Osama, nor were they responsible for the intelligence informant (one serving intel officer) who exposed us to the Americans, nor did they know much about the raid, let alone have any say in it. The Americans dealt directly with the then COAS and DG ISI, to plan and orchestrate the mission, they did not speak with puny civilian leaders. The few generals in charge at the time let the country down. They, and they alone are responsible and should be held accountable.

Yes Zardari and co were also responsible. If not then why he was the first to congratulate his Abbu Obama.
