Ancient historical sites in Syria destroyed by the Al-Assad terror regime

Anyway @MoshteAhani I believe that we should delete our posts and return to the topic. No need to act this childish. Just saying.

You seem familiar. Do we know each other? You are by no chance Falon are you? I think that you are. I already know @MOHSENAM.

He is half Persian half Arab.

His mother must be Persian then because his surname is Arab. He looks like one too. Just wanted to ask. There is an Morocacn Arab footballer called Munir al-Haddadi. He plays for FC Barcelona. It's an Arabic surname, that's all I know. How common are intermarriages?

Wait a minute.. you say you disagree with Irans leader but you dont hate him... is that correct ?

Are you a Muslim? I do no hate people that I do not know. I don't think that I hate any person that I know to be honest with you. I find some annoying but that's about that.

Khamenei looks a typical Persian,Azari... apart from the turban,beard he doesnt look Arab to me.

Anyway, our fight was childish yeh maybe we should delete it. Let me delete/edit it now.

Khamenei is a seyyed but he isnt Arab. He is half Azari (Iranian azarbaijan) and half Persian...

Khamenei is of ethnic Azeri background[15][16][17][18] while one source claims that his mother was an ethnic Persian-speaker from Yazd.[19]

Ali Khamenei - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

He was talking about Hamed Haddadi who is an Iranian Arab. If you are a Sayyid you are of Arab origins originally. Paternally. His ancestors probably came to Iran a few hundreds years ago and then settled in the Azeri areas of Iran. If his ancestry is correct (which we must assume) then he cannot be an Azeri ethnically. At most partial. Likewise if an Persian settled in the US and married Italian-Americans for instance or Latinos for 5 straight generations he would still be of Persian origin on his father's side. Your ethnicity, surname etc. is inherited from your father in a straight paternal line from father to son. This has been the custom among most culture since ancient times.

I am talking about Hamed Haddadi. Arabs come in all shapes and forms man. There are almost 500 million of us. We might all be of Semitic backgrounds (mostly) but we have mixed with nearby peoples etc. You have pale Arabs, olive skinned, brown and black (Afro-Arabs). Then you have mixtures etc. Basically we are just like most other ME people.

Yes, we should. I am going to delete my posts now.

Anyway are you a Shia Muslim or an Atheist/Agnostic?

We are all deleting our posts. You should delete yours too. We can do this on our own as adult people. No need for the mods to be involved. This should be an example for others and a tactic we should use more often.:lol:

Yes, it is pretty silly really. If not a lot. After all we have not been at war with each other for ages. Outside of the Iraq-Iran war which was a bad thing for both countries. It was not really about race there at all. I mean Iran is a multiethnic country and the Iranian Arabs were the first line of defense against Iraq. So not really about race I would say. Being partially Iraqi on my father's side I know what that war did to Iraq for instance. The current conflict is also silly. This can happen when there are those problems present in the ME, when the rulers are corrupt and in general not the best etc.

Regarding your other question see here below;

War is never good, it is ugly in all forms. Human being only lives a few decades, at most 80 or 90 afterwards you are gone so i believe all these wars and misery is a shame for the human intelligence.

We need to change ourselves, and we should start from ourselves. Iran Iraq war, Persian gulf conflicts , Syrian conflict, Yemen conflict, Somali conflict etc are all because of people who refuse to accept the reality and the changing world.

I dnt wish ill on Syrian people (ignore those posts), they are all humans just like the other 7 bilion people on the planet. The conflict that is going on has nothing to do with us people who are outside it and we just express our opinion that we think its correct (and who says its correct ?...).

We need to change mate and i propose a long lasting friendship (or ceasefire lol) among us members... atleast on this website. Let us start from somewhere...

Well, large-scaled wars today are almost always a bad thing for everyone expect the military industry and those who profit from it. Especially in our age and time were wars can be extremely devastating due to the technology at our disposal.

Actually most of the conflicts have nothing to do with race or religion. It is mostly bound in politics and socio-economic aspects. The so-called "Arab Spring" did not start because of sectarianism or some ethnic struggle in Tunisia were it firstly emerged but due to the economy and politics. Those two go hand in hand. Later it spread to other Arab countries.

The ME as a whole is the cradle of civilization. Extremely rich in history and extremely wealthy in terms of resources with an ideal location next to Europe, Africa and the remaining Asia and major seas such as the Mediterranean, Red Sea, Gulf, Arabian Sea, Indian Ocean, Caspian Sea etc. Many people are talented, hard-working, welcoming and have good sides on many fronts. Unfortunately people are very emotional, tribal (tribalism in the sense of racial, sectarian, political etc. rivalry) In a sense we are all tribal in that way. Let alone the bad leadership and some people who are obviously hell bent on getting their version of the world across and destroying all the other rivals. In the ME there is nothing like a win-win situation. It's either winner takes it all or nothing. I think that this is the key problem.

Actually most of the Arab-Iranian (actually it's more a Arab-Persian thing) fights involve the same 5-6 users every single time. It's not that bad. Could be worse.

I think that we should mind our own business and if we can work together like many Arabs and Iranians have shown in the past and for centuries (despite religious etc. differences) then we should do that. After all we can't really move to Oceania or South Africa tomorrow.

Well, I don't wish ill on any people either. I am just of the firm belief that Al-Assad has caused a lot of destruction in Syria. I am not saying that the Syrian Opposition is faultless because they are not. It's a war after all. I am not including ISIS here which obviously no sane person can support.

Basically it's just a shame that a nice, ancient and beautiful Arab country such as Syria is now resembling Afghanistan and Somalia. I made this thread to show the destruction of heritage sites in Syria. Not to start a political debate.

Good post, dont have any objections on it apart from the Assad issue.

What you are saying about a beautiful Syria is right but it was way back before the crisis begun, Syria was one of the most strongest among the arab nations politically and militarily especially after Gadaffi fell this country was the one that Israel feared the most.

What i dont agree with Syrian opposition is that instead pouring all these resources and energy into a endless bloody conflict they should have put it on the noble cause of returning their lands which are occupied.

This conflict only makes the enemies of the region more happy, including the weapon dealer thugs in the USA and elswhere.

@al-Hasani , @MOHSENAM , @MoshteAhani

What happened? Have we had a revolution of sorts on this thread? Why are you not quarreling?

That was big-hearted of all of you, but particularly @al-Hasani , since he struck the conciliatory tone first. I hate when you brothers start quarreling. I did not feel like issuing infractions / warnings. I am glad that I did not do so.
