Isn't the PN in the process of acquiring 6 Chinese subs, coupled with 3 agosta's with MESMA. I think it is enough for the offensive front, next up must be the surface fleet with a particular attention for air defence umbrella, because PAF wont be able to provide that in deep sea.

I wish this was confirmed. From last 10 years, PN's Submarine induction program has been facing drawbacks. Even if we get 6 Qing Class Subs from China, I still think we need more. Otherwise I agree with you about the surface fleet. But then again, it all depends on the funds, mate. The little we have, should be used carefully.
