China produced PL-15 in 2016

so it’s completely logical US created a missile to counter a missile that was produced 16 years into the future

- the missile ur referring to is AIM-260. It’s specifically designed for the F-22 as a next generation AA missile to complement 5th generation aircrafts . It began production a year later after PL-15 was entered into service that a lot of people started suspected that it was to counter PL-15
